Christian's head was reeling with questions as he read the files. 'This happened before in Japan? Does this mean it went uninterrupted before as well? Why didn't the local authorities do anything?' Christian continued to ask himself various questions like this, while the mood of the questions spiraled down quickly. Eventually, he asked himself a question he dreaded the answer to. 'If no one intervened, did something happen outside?' World War 3 could have started. The earth's atmosphere could have grown deadly. An epidemic could have wiped out most of earth's population. Chris stepped back from the files, shaking his head. Thinking what could have happened wouldn't help now. Chris decided he needed to calm down and think for a while. However, when he looked around, there were a lot more people in the library than before. He fidgeted slightly. Chris wanted to think, but this many people was a bit unsettling for him. He decided to go to the cafeteria to sit down and think. Walking out of the library, Chris gave a small nod to the people there. Once out of there, Chris let out a breath of air that he hadn't realized he was holding before walking to the cafeteria. On his way to the cafeteria, he noticed some people in small groups in the halls, but ignored them for the moment, to focused on his destination Once he entered the cafeteria, he looked around, only to see nobody was there at the moment. Not even the hungry kid, Silas. It was refreshing. Chris realized he was thirsty, so he entered the kitchen and got some water in a kettle to a near boil. He got a peppermint tea bag, and added it to the water in a mug, as well as a touch of honey. He brought the mug out with him to the cafeteria and sat down at one of the tables. As the tea cooled, Chris willed his mind to do the same. Right now wasn't a time for thinking 20 steps ahead. He needed to build his thoughts one step at a time. No use thinking about outside when there was no way to it yet. Well, no way out but murder, which wasn't a pleasant thought. Chris sat there as he tried to calm down and think.
