The click of boots echoed down a hall, and some students stayed well clear of the woman coming down the hall. Tsumura Ayaka, or just Aya to her friends, was already well known throughout the school for her willingness to resort to force. On her first day, some elder boy had kept hitting on her without fail. She'd been quick enough to beat him down and, just to freak him out more, had even brandished her training pistol. He'd nearly pissed himself by the time he realized it was nothing more than a BB pistol, no threat at all, but that didn't matter. His dignity had taken the blow, and since then nobody messed with Ayaka. That was, after all, the way she liked it, since she hadn't meant anyone at this school she wanted to befriend. With a shake of her head, she returned her mind to the present and continued her careful walk. Today was MF piloting training, most likely combat training, the day she'd been waiting for since the moment she arrived at this school. However, she was already going to be early as it was, and so she didn't jeopardize her reputation by running. Instead, she muffled her excitement until she reached the hangars. When she did, she immediately strode up to the X-5 that was hers and grinned, gently running her hand along the metal. She was here to represent the best and brightest of the next generation of UEG pilots, and she took that quite seriously. However, she couldn't help the girlish excitement that filled her at the thought of piloting her precious X-5. It had a name, of course, though she'd never dare tell anyone about it. She'd taken to calling the mecha "Masaki" in honor of one of her friends back on base who hadn't made it into Tsukino-Danvers. He had made her promise to do so, and she was nothing of not a woman of her word, so the mech bore the name with pride. Climbing up into the cockpit, she ran her systems check to ensure everything was well. The rocket pod was loaded, spare ammunition stored safely, the laser cannon charged. She turned her attention to the "Exterior Weapons Display", or EXD, to ascertain the status of her rifle and knife. The rifle read as full, with extra ammo stored within the massive weapon itself. The knife registered as sheathed, thanks to the sensors she'd installed in there, and she grinned. Masaki was ready for combat and so was she, so now all she had to do was wait. So, she continued her systems check with a light hum coming from her mouth. She was ready to show everyone what she could do, and prove she was an ace MF pilot.
