Everyone Excusing itself from the group of students it had arrived with, Grey headed towards the center of the stadium. The dull roar of voices began to settle as it raised it's arms, then it's voice echoed out, loud enough for all to hear. "Good morning everybody! It's wonderful to see so many returning faces to our school! And even better, so many new faces this year! I am the Head of Ouroboros. You can call me Grey! First things first, as I see some whispering going on, some of you may have noticed that your friends and companions are seeing me as something different than what you see." Grey gave a smile and a dismissive wave. "You'll get used to it. Suffice to say that there is no wrong way to address me. Moving forward, I will say that some of you may think you are out of place. That you do not belong." The obsidian black eyes roamed the crowd, still smiling. "This could not be further from the truth! No matter where you come from, no matter who or what you think you are! Know that you belong here. This Academy has had billions of species pass through it's halls. But it will only ever have the privilege of you once. Whether this be your first year, or your last, I hope you come to think of this school as a home, and all of us your family. No matter what you may think now, know that you will look back on these years with fondness. For all your mistakes, for all your successes, for all the friends you will make and lose!" Grey cleared it's throat, straightening up with a suddenly serious expression. "That being said, there are some rules you all need to follow. I will not bore you with them one by one, returning students know them by now, and you newcomers have a list of them within the packet that was sent to your homes. But I will make one thing clear, and please, if you tune out everything I say but one bit, make it this bit that you listen to you most intently." The Head's voice suddenly seemed to rumble with unimaginable power, sending ripples of authority through the crowd as the entire assembly went silent. The stadium itself seemed to shake from a low quake within the very foundations of the building. "We do NOT tolerate intolerance. You will represent your species and yourself with the utmost pride and respect for others. There will be no fighting. There will be no discrimination. Those who break this rule will face the consequences of their actions. NO exceptions." As quickly as the dark mood had descended, it was gone, leaving a strange silence in it's midst as Grey smiled. "Now then! The rest of the day is given to you, to explore the school grounds and get settled in. Tomorrow, clubs and sports teams will be meeting at designated locations, but you will again have the day off. May I recommend getting to know Purgatory, the lovely city we are stationed in. For the day after that, your classes will start! And so will your wonderful journey! On behalf of myself and the entire faculty, welcome to Ouroboros Academy!" The older students gave a roar of approval, others giving polite applause as all within the stadium began to filter out. Grey walked out of the center, smiling to itself. This year was going to be special. --------------------------------------------------- ((You have ONE more post you're able to make before we timeskip *which I will do tomorrow regardless of whether or not you have posted* to the next day, where you will meet up with clubs and sports teams, explore the city, and yes, finally meet your long awaited rivals.))
