Fine. I'll just spill it. Ares will ask the Imagineer to purposely cast status conditions on him near enemies to test the full extent of his abilities and his mental fortitude to make last second decisions when facing real danger or overwhelming odds. He's preparing himself to be Guild Master. It's not a date. I've said it before, he doesn't do second choices. Heh.
