The Doctor raised an eyebrow at his offered arm before walking to him and looping her arm through his. "We shall." She said with a smile. She then leaded them into the main room, she led them close to the wall. So, they wouldn't be too out in the open. And then......the party began as different species were introduced. She watched Dexter's reactions, they wre always hilarious.

As each guest was announced Dexter looked on with amazement as each one stepped forth bringing on a new face, a new species and pretty much new everything that was a bit overwhelming. But really it was a good overwhelming to him as the aliens known as the Trees came and brought a gift symbolizing peace. They gave gifts? He just looked confused and a little bit lost. Especially as his gaze landed on a head in the jar. It was literally just a head in a jar, tentacle like sprouts coming from the head.
Didn't someone teach you it's rude to stare? Although, I don't mind as much. Don't get that often these days. A female voice said in his head and he glanced around curiously scratching his head. I'm in the jar of fluids. It's what keeps me hydrated but it's awful for communicating vocally. You can trust me, I certainly trust you. Dexter looked confused at the Face of Boe as the steward had introduced the female in the jar. Why would someone he never met trust him? Let's just say...I read people very well. Now pay attention before your lady friend gets suspicious. Not that it wouldn't be fun to ruffle her feathers, but I rather keep her happy for now. The voice sounded like she knew the Doctor. Nah. Couldn't be possible.

The Doctor then noticed the look on Dexter's confused face. Like he was realizing or hearing something she couldn't. But, she let that go for now when gifts were given out. Then, the trees were the first to come up to them. The leader, a male named Jabe approached them. "The Gift of Peace. I bring you a cutting of my Grandfather." He said before giving the plant to the Doctor. The Doctor looked panicked. She did not think this through. "Thank you. Yes, gifts. Er, I give you in return air from my lungs." She quickly made-up before she blew gently on Jabe's face.

"How intimate." He said with a smile. "There's more where that came from." She said with a wink. "I bet there is." He said with a look in his eye. Then, they walked away. Only for the Moxx to show up. "The Moxx of Balhoon." The Doctor greeted. "My felicitations on this historical happenstance. I give you the gift of bodily salivas." Moxx said before he spit in Dexter's face before walking away. "Thank you!" The Doctor yelled after them before turning to Dexter. "You okay?" She asked him, trying not to laugh.

Dexter got the saliva from his face a slight disgusted look on his face noticing her being flirtatious to the tree. Honestly, he had a feeling she didn't think this through. Of course a being that lived off of the air they both produced would consider that act intimate. "Er...could have lived without being spat on." He said honestly." He said as the steward introduced 'the last human' Liam O'Brien.delta.17 which made Dexter feel more lost than ever especially as it was just a flab of skin.
"I know shocking isn't it. I just had my chin removed, and look at the difference. I don't look a day over a thousand." Liam said in a masculine voice and Dexter went around a circle around the most alien looking thing he's seen. The last human? Hah! The flab of skin continued to drone on about 'ancient' artifacts like the ostrich egg. "Legend says it had a wing span of fifty feet and sprouted fire from its nostrils. Or was that my third wife?" Liam joked. "And here, another rarity. The archives called it an iPod." In came a juke box. "It stored all the classical music of the greatest artists. Play on." And Tainted Love started to play. This just really peeved Dexter off. They were saying goodbye to the planet this human's ancestors came from. Couldn't they have found another song?! He exited the room needing just a moment and came across a member of the repeated meme who gave him a strange metal ball and stopped as he came across another blue alien like the steward.
"I'm sorry, am I not supposed to be here?" He questioned and the male stood there looking a bit awkward himself.
"You have to give us permission to speak." He informed Dexter. Whose eyes widened.
"Oh yeah, you have permission." He said hurriedly as he wasn't really sure what the etiquette was for giving someone permission for something he had always had. That wasn't right. But the younger male smiles happily.
"Thank you, and guests can be anywhere on Platform One. Now to get to work. The vents in the Face of Boe's room are going hetic."
"They still need mechanics?" Dexter asks amused.
"Hope so or I'm out of a job." The male said just as amused. "And thank you for giving permission. Not everyone does." He said as he left the room leaving Dexter to stare out the window and at the planet.

The Doctor had seen Dexter leave but she let him go. After all, this may be very overwhelming. The Doctor then began wandering around the ship when she saw the little assitant people towing the TARDIS away. "Oi, now, careful with that. Park it properly. No scratches." She said after them. Before she began mumbling under her breath. She then began wandering around, looking for Dexter, until she reached a room. "Dexter? Are you in there?" She asked, and when she entered she saw Dexter looking out the window so she wandered over to him.

"Aye, aye. What do you think, then?" She asked him cheerfully.

"Just getting myself under control a bit. All those different kinds of people out there. How's it they're speaking English?" Dexter asked curiously looking at the Doctor who he knew little to nothing about. Perhaps one day he'd get the answers he sought from her.

The Doctor responded easily. "No, you just hear English. It's a gift of the Tardis. The telepathic field, gets inside your brain and translates." She explained in a smart tone.

Dexter thought that was actually quite smart, seeing as she could travel through space and time. But priorities. "Your machine is in my head?" He asked incredulously. And she hadn't bothered to tell him until now?

The Doctor nodded. "Yeah, but in a good way." She said happily.

Dexter messed his hair and sighs. Well as long as the TARDIS meant no harm he thought he could forgive her forgetful pilot. And best not argue with the designated driver. Not like he could call anyone. Just a tad out of service in space and trillions of years in the future.

"You know what?" The Doctor said. "Give me your phone." She said to him with a grin, her hand held out expectantly. "Trust me." She added for good measure.

Dexter smiles at her knowing that despite not knowing anything about her or anything really, he did. He trusted her impeccably. Explained why he had decided to go with her through time and space. He hands over his phone with a grin. "Always." He said actually meaning the word. Not much on there as he used it mostly to make calls or read some emails but that was it.

The Doctor tilted her head with a smug grin when he said 'always'. He trusted her, she liked that. "Tell you what." She started as she began taking the phone apart. "With a little bit of jiggery pokery." She said absentmindly as she took out her sonic, changing it to the right setting and then used it on the phone. Before putting it back together and handing it to him. "There ya go. Call someone." She said to him, leaning against the glass and crossing her arms.

"Is that a technical term jiggary Pokery?" Dexter teased with a grin and took his phone shrugging and calling his dad. It rang and he picked up.
"Dexter? Where were you last night? Spending your compensation down the drain?"
"Err. Yeah that's right. As a matter of fact, since I have so much I'm just going to do a little traveling around England for a bit so I might not get home soon."
"You left your passport."
"Yeah which is why I'm only going around England not out of it." Dexter said rolling his eyes and hanging up once Harold said to keep careful. "That is getting surprisingly easier to do." He said honestly frowning a little. He didn't mind the lying. It was best to keep those in the dark still in the dark. He had a feeling that those that didn't believe in aliens would get a rude awakening. It was then that the ship began to shake.

The Doctor chuckled. "Yup, took it in school. Great class." She watched him talk on the phone but didn't listen in on his conversation, seemed rude. Then, when he hung up, the ship started shaking. "That's not suppose to happen." She remarked with a slight worried look in her eyes. She then heads to the door, fully prepared to walk back into the main room and hopefully get some answers. And without looking at Dexter she called to him. "Come on Dexter." She said before leaving the room.

Dexter hurried out of the room after the Doctor leaving behind the silver metallic thing as he ran through the hall.
"Indubitably this is the Bad Wolf scenario. I'm finding that the laxity of the ongoing multiverse..." The Moxx of Balhoon said to the Face of Boe as they entered the room examining something. Or rather, The Doctor was examining something with that tube of hers that sort of looked like something electronic in the shape of a screwdriver. A probe? He didn't know.
"So what was that then?" Dexter asked curiously.

The Doctor was in her own world. Speaking to herself. A flurry of words. "That wasn't a gravity pocket. I know gravity pockets and they don't feel like that." She then noticed Jabe wander over to them. "What do you think, Jabe? Listened to the engines. They've pitched up about thirty Hertz. That dodgy or what?" Jabe shrugged. "It's the sound of metal. It doesn't make any sense to me." He said. "Where's the engine room?" She asked him curiously. "I don't know, but the maintenance duct is just behind our guest suite, I could show you and your husband." The Doctor chuckled. "He's not my husband."

But, Jabe wasn't discouraged. "Partner?" "No." "Concubine?" "Nope." "Prostitute?" He finally asked.

"Look what we are isn't important. I'm her friend and there are people in very real danger on board. Let's just find out what's going on, and fix it. I'll leave you two to it though. Have to catch up with the family." He said jerking his head toward Liam curious to hear his story.
You know, I believe this is the most adorable thing I've seen in my long life. You two starting out. Boe says in the mind of The Doctor.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow at the voice in her head. It was weird having someone in her head. A strange feeling. Having not felt it in so long. Well, I would question what you mean but, I have a feeling I'm not suppose to know. Not yet at least. She would leave it be.....for now. She then turned to Jabe who offered her his arm. "I'm all yours." She said when she looped her arm with his. They both then walked out of the room, towards the engine room.
