Kido released a scream of his own: A much less primal and more high-pitched scream of terror. As manly as it surely sounded, though, he couldn't even register it over the increased pounding of his heartbeat. He leapt up, and with a popping sound, he suddenly vanished. Or rather, he left behind a very small plush-toy-like figure that proceeded to run off into the bushes away from the fire pit.
