He had only run a short distance from the camp but already Dante had lost track of where Kido had gone. "Hey man I'm sorry I was only playing a joke!", he cried out. He messed up big time now. But he had an idea, he quickly ran back to the fire pit where he left his bag and pulled out his thermal/night vision goggles, running back to the spot he stopped at Dante put the goggles on. Even if it set it no night vision Kido could still be hidden from sight so he set it thermal vision and began to look around. Not long after looking he found a tiny plush doll that looked very similar to the boy only...IT WAS ALIVE?! "This must be his power", he thought to himself as as removed the goggles. "Hey dude I'm sorry about what happened back there, had I known you'd react like that I wouldn't have done it. 

It was clear Kido was too afriad to come down so Dante had to go up and het him. The tree was to hight for him to climb on his own yet he wondered how the tiny doll did it. He could use the grapple claw but he could miss and hit the boy and if he used it he'd have to go back to camp and someone would see and be suspicious of why he was running into the woods with a claw, his only other choice would be to transform and climb the tree but even so Kido would see him and tell everyone. The last thing he wanted was for the others to think he scared Kido into the woods then chased hum further in as a monster. Day 1 and he's already messed things up.
