No point in teaching you if you don’t get to use it.” He went to the counter and dropped the required gold into the basket. When the NPC leaned over to give him the rifle Jeremy muttered under his breath quietly, “Give me a bit of time to show her how to use it.” The man nodded with a grin… and a wink? I don’t understand myself anymore… He turned and leaned back against the counter for a moment- pointedly ignoring a struggle off to the side, no matter how much he wanted to jump in. Fool rubbed his chin and glanced Imagine up and down. I don’t teach people often… where to start? “First things first-” Jeremy took her by the hand and tugged her to the counter, standing in front of her. “Widen your feet a bit to get a better base, and lean forward just a bit.” He paused for a moment. “Alright, now for the actual firearm, place your non-dominant hand about… here.” He stepped behind her, taking her hand to guide it up to grip the forestock, and reached around her to guide Imagine’s dominant hand to firing posiition, finger on the trigger. “Now pull the rifle up to the crook of your shoulder. Make sure it is sitting firmly.” It was a bit awkward to guide her arms, and he had to deliver the last set of instructions practically pressed against her back. “Almost done, now to aim, you need to point the rifle in the general direction of whatever you are trying to hit, say…. the NPC’s hat. Tilt your head so you can look down the length of the barrel- the way you aim is pretty simple. See that little peg at the tip of the barrel? Line it up between the two closest to your eyes, with whatever you are trying to hit behind the peg. Once everything is straight, and level, go ahead and pull the trigger.” As he delivered those last instructions practically to Imagine’s ear, Fool suddenly realized just how close he was to her, abruptly letting go and stepping back, his face pounding red. “Uh… yep, thats all you need to know!” He tried to laugh it off, and pulled his mastercard to divert her attention from his embarrassment, pointing. “Oh look, there they go!” The NPC got the hint and released the familiar swarm of orbs quickly. Behind her, Fool gave him a fervent thanks in the form of a small salute. --- HP: 63% SP: 70 Level: 4 Inventory: Gold: 135 Deck of Cards Dice & Cup x 10 Bread x1 Flint & Steel Whetstone Canteen (Empty) Wood Club Pellet x10
