What's the best position to be in before your plane suddenly goes on fire and begins crashing? Well, obviously it would be someone who's buckled in and ready to jump at a moment's notice. However, Alanna had convinced herself that absolutely nothing would happen. So, she was curled up in her seat with her earphones plugged in and her head rested against the back of her seat. She was officially bored now and sleep wouldn't come to her and she had quickly ran out of things to do in the first half of the flight. Staring at the total hottie beside her sufficed as entertainment enough - he looked like a farmer. Unfortunately, that didn't do for long enough and she finally ended up drawing things in her sketchbook to fill the time between take-off and landing. At first, she didn't actually hear the panic because she was listening to her music but eventually she caught onto it. Quickly, her eyes followed everyone else's and she nearly had fifty consecutive heart-attacks. Their plane's right engine was smoking, small flames occasionally leaping up and firing into the air. Quickly, she followed the weird guide for what to do and put herself into the brace position after resting her backpack between her chest and her legs. Then the shaking started, and she was extremely sure that today would be the fine day she died. Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught the hottie who was also apparently an idiot - he had reached out and pulled an oxygen mask out for himself. Now, Alanna wasn't the brightest bulb in the electric store but she was very certain that you don't need oxygen if you're crashing, only if the pressure was lowered or a fire had engulfed the plane. The fire from the engine didn't seem to spread but it really didn't need to as the plane suddenly slammed into the warm Pacific waters and instantly broke apart into small scatterings of a wreckage. All the time, Alanna was thrown about like a small rag-doll caught between two momentous forces. When she did wake up, her limp body was bobbing with the waves as pain engulfed her entire form. She could quite definitely feel blood, she could see blood around her but it was unknown on what in God's name the source of that blood was. She was thankful of her buoyancy as she floated continuously for an hour or so before she gained some strength to look around. At first, she thought she was hallucinating and instantly thought she was dead before she got another kick of pain and she reminded herself that she was very much alive. Alanna decided that she had little to no chance of getting out of this alive and kicking but having an island would increase her chances drastically. So, she slowly began kicking with the one leg that didn't feel like it was being chewed on by a T-Rex. After a bit, she lost energy but that didn't matter when the tide began to softly carry her inward until she was washed up on the beach. This was not good.
