I'm thinking of leaving that up to the players. There's always the possibility of many creatures, especially on the uninhabited islands. Like last time we played a few people had dragons, one a winged tiger, one a wyvern, and I had a winged wolf. They all varied in inelegance I guess, more so they had different levels of the ability to understand when someone was communicating with them. None of them ever communicated back, but it could be possible to fit into the world. Especially by some sort of mental connection. I like when people add in their own creative & original ideas, as long as they're somewhat reasonable in the world. I like the amount of "extended creation" that this world has though, that's why I don't like setting up too many specifics. I'm just overly detailed, not specific.
