Garoth was a nimble boy, but even he couldn't match the half-elf's agility in the trees. He was a good enough climber on his own, and had it been anyone else he probably would have declined assistance, but since it was Key he took the hand and accepted help onto the first branch. Upon taking his perch next to Keyton, he looked at the branch that they were targeting, and his eyes quickly began scanning the trunk of the tree for the best path to get there. "We could get higher if I just flew up to the top..." he mumbled. but he didn't seriously entertain the notion; he was only just learning how to control his other form, and the last thing he needed was to explain to his Grandfather why he got stuck in a tree. Without any further delay, he hoisted himself up to the next branch, then grabbed a branch above him and used it to swing across a gap and lend in a better position to reach their goal. Garoth was sure that if he could do it, it would be easy for Keyton. He took a few more steps up, but then found the the final branch was just a few inches beyond his grasp. He could jump up for it, but from this height... maybe he'd let Keyton try first. "Can you reach it?" he asked. "If we can get up there, that would be perfect. We'd be just high enough to see over the smaller trees."
