Brainwave reflected on how the mission was going so far as the group met up.

"So today was an interesting day. Found out the threat is far bigger than initially assumed, got jumped by a bunch of shoes, walking buildings. And holy crap how did you get out from under that rock so fast?"

Everyone turned to see their increasingly annoying adversary standing next to the fallen boulder.

"I'm going to leave you wondering that. Nice of you to all cluster up though, I was waiting for that!"

As Tarantulas prepared another attack a booming voice interrupted him.

"Tarantulas, enough! We've spent too much effort defending this worthless shit hole. It's time to quit wasting time here." A mysterious projection appeared delivering new orders. He clearly wasn't happen about this turn of events.

"You can't be serious. These idiots are going to continue to try to stop us. Better to kill them now!"

His boss however wasn't interested in his reasoning.

"I don't care. It's already too late to stop it. Wasting time on them is wasting time better spent elsewhere. I have a far more important mission for you than these 3 insects. Now come, it's time to hunt the Vok once again."

With that the spider stopped complaining understanding what his superior meant. "Alright then, time to destroy them once and for all. But what about Sideways? He went AWOL on me."

"Don't worry Tarantulas, one does not walk away from the cause. We will find another way to make use of him." And with that the projection disappeared and a portal opened.

"You know, he said I had to stop fighting. He didn't say I couldn't collapse the cave!" And with that the arachnid fired at a weak point in the ceiling triggering a collapse. "You could follow me to certain death or you could try to run for it. Have fun either way." Waling through the portal he left his adversaries to their fate.

"Oh shit, he still has my space bridge jammed." Brainwave quickly discovered. "I don't suggest that portal, the mysterious individual was likely The Fallen. Probably best to run for it."
