Biography: Gideon grew up the son of a nurse and a Scout Regiment soldier in a small hunting village amid Wall Maria's vast forests. A crack shot, he was a respected hunter by his teens as well as the man of the house, as his father was killed during one of many expeditions with the Scouts. Gideon's kinder personality coupled with his mother's tutelage led him to want to pursue a career in medicine, though this was a difficult path to start on without help. Because of this, he decided to enlist when he was of age, planning on joining the Garrison Regiment (or hopefully the MP) as a Medic. The breach of Wall Maria changed his plans however. Though he and his mother (as well as most of their village) managed to escape the slaughter, most of their number died in the famine that proceeded. His mother was among them. In the following ill-fated "reclamation" operation directed at Wall Maria, Gideon narrowly managed to avoid conscription due to his younger age. This likely saved his life, though his innocence was not spared. The trauma and loss he experienced hardened him, and he resolved to join the Scout Regiment instead of any of the safer, more defensive units. He would avenge his family and neighbors' deaths and one day, he would return to his village, unfettered by the lumbering monsters that roamed there. Though his compassionate personality remained, he had decided to become a killer first and a healer second. Now, he's a Cadet finishing up his last year of training and the fight he so desperately wants is close at hand...
