Biography: Born to the underground city beneath the capital, the darkest depths of human nature is familIar to Lethe. In a place where stealing, thuggery, and murder was commonplace, Lethe dreamed of a future above the ground. Lethe's mother, a prostitute who fancied the venture of taking care of a baby, decided that she'd had enough of the child when he was only four years old. Lethe was left in a dark alley of the underground, lost and alone. And little did his mother know, her next client would be her death. 

Life in the underground wasn't easy for a child, let alone a grown man. There were countless times when Lethe was inches from death, either from starvation or from the brutality of another human being. Lethe never have up though, and only due to his resolute nature and iron will was he able to survive. The underground left its mark on Lethe, leading him to become a very mousy and high-strung.

Lethe survived the underground by leaching off of the criminal gangs of the underground, sticking to their outskirts and scavenging what they left in their wake. Meals weren't expected, And Lethe often went hungry. It was when Lethe overstepped his boundaries in the criminal underground did this life finally end. Caught stealing a hard loaf of bread, he was beaten nearly to death and left for dead. Lethe didn't have the will to get up any longer, he was defeated. It was that fateful day that a military recruiter who was doing business of a bit shadier of a nature found Lethe and offered him a new life as a cadet, a path to escape the hopeless land beneath.
