"Really? Ah'd say Ah just left around... Four or five hours ago, Ah think. Ah figured you hadn't been out here long, but Ah'm apparently wrong. Apologies." David admitted what he figured to just be a mistake and apologized for it, not really that skeptical of other people. It was probably a bad thing, but David was quite trusting and often could feed into other's lies. Thankfully this situation probably wouldn't have a serious effect on him. He wasn't sure if gaining this girl's trust was going to be easy, considering she'd apparently been out here for awhile already. Even if she seemed kind of clean, and pretty pale considering the bright sun above. 

Rupert, though at first finding this possibly entertaining, was quickly getting bored. He plopped down into the sand and stared forward, figuring he'd might as well take a nap until this was over. He opened his mouth widely, letting out a silent yawn as he closed his eyes and rested.
