For the record,

I intend for Ormoneric to be able to learn new spells via spell mixing - with the catch that he will need an entire Aedra-damned Grand Soul Gem for each one. :O Those things aren't exactly uncommon in Skyrim once you get to, you know, level 40 - but they will probably be fewer and further between for our group.

The idea is for it to function as a source of new spells as the plot demands. A lot of the spell effects I have planned are utility-based, meaning a lot of new doors can be opened (figuratively and literally) with each new spell learned.

Here's the list I have so far, partly for the GM to approve/critique, partly to gather suggestions. If you have any ideas, please share!

Spell Combinations:
Absorb+Telekinesis=Power Sink (Nearby spells are redirected to caster and absorbed)
Absorb+Open=Waterbreathing (Breath water, or any other liquid for that matter. Does not convey poison resistance or resistance to being melted from breathing lava)
Absorb+Soul Trap=Capture Essence (Capture a spell or effect to cast or release later, as with a scroll)

Clairvoyance+Detect=Scry (Discern a specific person's or item's location)
Clairvoyance+Lock=Paralyze (Force foes to remain in place)
Clairvoyance+Open=Ghostwalk (Become invisible and intangible)
Clairvoyance+Recall=Teleport (Instantly move to another location within line of sight)

Dispel+Open=Bleed Magicka (Disrupt the spell of a target spellcaster, causes them to continuously lose mana over time if a spell was disrupted)
Dispel+Telekinesis=Mass Dispel (Unleash a wave of dispelling power in all directions)

Detect+Lock=Bind Magical Entity (Bind and assume control over any summoned, conjured, reanimated, or otherwise magical entity)
Detect+Telekinesis=Animate (Bestow an inert object with self-perpetuating motion - make a broom sweep itself, a hammer pound, a sword swing)

Reflect+Lock=Waterwalking (Walk on any fluid surface normally. Convection of heat from lava will still kill you).
Reflect+Telekinesis=Backlash (Block a physical attack and instantly counterattack with an equal amount of telekinetic force)
Reflect+Recall=Backfire (Reflected spells instantly teleport on top of the original caster))

Silence+Telekinesis=Mass Silence (Unleash a wave of force in all directions that silences all other spellcasters)

Soul Trap+Recall=Disenchant (Drain an enchanted item's charge, and store it in a soul gem if you have one large enough)
Soul Trap+Telekinesis=Telekill (Identical to the Vampiric Grip spell)[/hider]
