The words from his partner filled Jace with both hope and a little bit of fear. A plan was exactly what they needed right now, but at a time like this, a wrong move would be deadly. He listened with a dumbfounded expression. The plan was simplicity at its finest, but seemed like suicide. Although by this point, with blood dripping from his face and a terrible taste in his mouth, Jace was ready to do pretty much anything. “Lets do it!” He said as he readied his shield. He charged out of the building and ducked his head behind his shield. He wasn’t sure where he was running, just followed the sounds of his wolves leading the charge. It was when he heard his wolves stopping that he abruptly stopped, struggling to keep his balance as his partner bumped into him. The entrance was left open and the demons were taking full advantage of this. A few students were there. A red headed guy stumbling around yelling and another one with a gun. “A gun would be useful” He muttered to himself as he looked down at his shield. Sometimes he wished he could actually fight instead of letting his familiars do it for him. Then he remembered getting hit hurts. Yea, he liked his shield. It was during his little thought that his partner had started some kind of chant. Jace looked up to see a large demon coming through the door. As his partner stunned it, he ran in-between the group of students and the demon, ready to block anything and anything that might come to get them. He didn’t respond to his introduction by his partner, he just nodded and kept his eyes on the door. That was when the unexpected hit. A massive flash of light shone through the building, incinerating all the demons in the area. He stood up straight and almost dropped his shield in surprise. “What the hell?” he managed to say as he looked around to survey. He noticed the boy with the gun had a hand on his shoulder. He watched as he made his way to the window. Jace felt a nagging in his chest as he looked around. Nothing about this day felt right. The demons all show up out of nowhere then disappear just as quickly. Something about this tasted off. “Seems like the best idea.” He said in reply to the boy at the window. He had seen this boy before, and had a little laugh to himself at the ironic nature of his name. A sniper named hunter. Had quite the reputation around the school, but didn’t seem like that bad of a person. Not someone Jace was overly fond with the idea of working with though, even though his instincts told him that their skills would make a good match. For some reason, he couldn’t recognise the red haired boy though. Jace wasn’t very good at remembering names, but for some reason he seemed familiar. It was then that the boy fainted, passing out on the ground. He was about to step forward and try to help when something showed up from the door. It seemed like a girl, but she was taking rather fast and not making a hell of a lot of sense. Then, another girl appeared, and a third one, this one looked like a student, but was on the shoulder of a giant armoured figure. “Uuh… Hi.” Jace said as he withdrew a little bit. There were people he had seen before, fellow tamers he had noticed in class. Never the less, it didn’t mean he was any more comfortable with the situation. Why is it that he can fight demons and feel comfortable but as soon as new people showed up he could barely move without feeling self-conscious? “I think we are mostly fine here, but that guy fainted” He said as he pointed at him. It was a moment later that he immediately regretted sounding like a caveman. “Anyway, I agree with Hunter. We need to get outside to see just what is going on.” He said before whistling and patting his wolves on the head as they arrived at his feet, panting heavily. “I think you guys earned a rest.” He said before holding out his hand and activating the tattoos on his back. His back started to glow as the wolves once again formed their Yin Yang symbol before fading away. “But what do we do about our friend here?” He asked as he once again pointed to the boy on the ground.
