But it was still nice to talk to them every once and a while. He received a another call from the communications Lacrima. It was one of the cultists who was watching the citizens of Aroway. "Sir, what about the citizens? We have nowhere to put them, and we've already killed their leader." There was an extremely long pause. "Sir?" The cultist asked. "...Kill them all too." Aedius replied, in a flat tone. He felt they had outlived their usefulness also - assuming they had any. The main goal was to retrieve the Lacrima, and Aedius had done that. Had the villagers sided with the Brotherhood, they would have been allowed to live, and would have been better off in terms of resources, with the addition of the Brotherhood's protection. The cultists then executed the villagers one by one, regardless of gender or age. Once this was done, Aedius gave another order. "I asked Arkya to prepare the ship, but she hasn't replied. One of you do it." The cultist accepting the communication Lacrima calls went over to the boat, and began preparing the boat for departure. The rest also went to the boat, and one was forced to drag along the cultist who had strangely fallen asleep.
