As someone who is thinking of using the Beastial Companion trait for a future character, may I ask why a large avian is not OK for a 4 XP exotic companion?
You can get a creepy, bipedal wolf-like monster for 3 XP. The only benefit a big bird has over that would probably be flight and the possible concept of riding it.

Also, a curse of being destined to never enter Fiore's Harem for this Sylvia character! Not only is Noble Leifr's character inferior to hers, her elite animal handling skills are [i]also[/i] superior to my future character's animal handling. She's too pro.
