[img=http://safebooru.org//images/995/584ffa54446963d3d1d36de5123fd651ef503d20.jpg][/hider] [b]Age:[/b] Unknown [b]Gender:[/b] Female [b]Class:[/b] Shinigami, Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13 and Captain of the 1st Division [hider=Powers] [b][u]Overwhelming[/u] Reiatsu:[/b] Rather appropriately for the commander-in-chief of the shinigami, Kotohime's reiatsu is [i]enormous[/i], the pressure more than capable of trivially paralysing the weak, and surprising even the more prepared with the sheer amount--whilst it's possible to [i]expect[/i] a lot due to the position, nothing can truly prepare you for the sensation. If it comes down to a battle of sheer power, Kotohime is has yet to be outgunned--unless her opponent can temporarily increase their strength to surpass hers. Normally, her reiatsu dwarfs [i]anything[/i] she comes in contact with, and a few novice captains have been barely able to move under its pressure. Yet, despite the enormous power, she has the utmost control over it, and can entirely hide her presence if needed... which is rather useful most of the time. [b]Shinigami Arts:[/b] As a requirement for setting a good example, Kotohime has made sure that her skills--in all departments--are at the least 'respectable'. However, this does not make her anything remarkable where either wielding a [i]sword[/i] or kido are concerned. Shunpo and punching things? Now [i]those[/i] are her specialities. She can do more with speed and her bare fists than most shinigami with fancy shikai abilities. [b]Shunko:[/b] Combining kido with punching: a good pastime for someone whose shikai is about punching, and who prefers to punch than wield a sword. It serves as her main way of dealing damage directly in a fight--whilst her shikai and bankai have an air of inevitability about them, more worthwhile opponents are easier to take down simply by punching them the right way. [b]Shikai:[/b] [i]"Feast Upon the Unworthy: Master of Puppets"[/i]. Master of Puppets goes from your standard, utterly-unremarkable zanpakutou to a less standard, but still utterly unremarkable set of knuckledusters, though the activation is incredibly obvious due to the upsurge in reiatsu. Their most basic effect is that, with every hit, a spike of Kotohime's reiatsu is left behind, acting as a conduit between the enemy and herself... and constantly draining their power, refreshing the captain-commander. [i]Corruption:[/i] The flow of reiatsu from victim to Kotohime can be reversed--forcefully taking control of the affected body part through overpowering force and, once that is subdued, spreading further. With multiple hits, this still results in a net increase, whilst eventually turning the victim into a puppet, the full set of their abilities available for use as they waste to nothing. [i]Overload:[/i] By taking advantage of her gross amount of reiatsu, Kotohime can do something quite simple to anyone who is both currently affected by the reiatsu spikes and is weak enough in comparison to her current state: she can make them explode. Draining but effective. [b]Bankai:[/b] [i]Creeping Death[/i]: Directly weaponising her reiatsu, the released form is naught more than a ring--but any restraint to her reiatsu ends, with Kotohime's full power manifesting as a malefic green cloud steadily spreading as it consumes. It retains all her shikai abilities, but it also acts as a smothering blanket devouring all ephemeral effects, forcing anyone wishing to defeat the captain-commander to do so quickly, and in melee before they become simply a reiatsu battery. Whilst she can direct it to an extent, this is only to create a safe 'bubble' around a select few, and any else that get caught will be drained, growing the cloud further. Whether it would stop due to its owner exploding from the power, or consume all within Soul Society, is not something she wishes to test.[/hider] [b]History:[/b] For an unknown period of time, Kotohime has served as the head captain. Far more active than Genryusai ever was, since she happens to not be a wizened old man, and her shikai does not come with an enormous construction bill and a lot of accidentally-vaporised inferiors. Plus, she is [i]far[/i] more eager to fight and willing enough to let vacant captain slots be filled by putting up a good challenge in one-on-one combat... in addition to any promotion-by victory scenarios the 11th may have going on.
