[u]Pre-Academy Background[/u]:Bella's real name is unknown because she was found as a two year old aboard a damaged freighter by the Federation Starship USS Venture NCC-71854 as the only survivor.
She was found in critical condition her frail form somehow hanging on to life even though the ship's atmosphere was toxic. Her condition shocked the boarding party because she was starving and severely dehydrated.
Rushed aboard the Venture she was in critical condition and for several days CMO Dr Vitto Toselli struggled to keep her among the living.
Having no name to call her Dr Toselli decided to name her Bella for beautiful in the hopes that giving her a name would give her a reason to hang on.
Bella became the most popular child on the Venture receiving a constant stream of visitors, one such being the Doctor's Wife Anna.
Once Bella was deemed healthy Anna Toselli who operated the ship's lounge as a civilian contractor offered to serve as her guardian. 
Ditto her husband would joke years later that it was love at first sight as he watched his wife grow deeply attached to the young Bella.
Anna had her husband convinced in a short time that Bella should be more than their ward so they formally adopted her.
Bella's child hood was somewhat normal for a child raised on a Galaxy class ship till the day she hit puberty and her physiology shifted radically. 
Like all Orion females she began giving off powerful pheromones that attracted unwanted attention to her and disrupting a diplomatic negotiation. 
Bella was forced to take inhibitors to cease her natural pheromone release along with her sex drive. Bella found focus on school work as a substitute for her pent up mental energy and excelled in her courses as a side effect.
Her mother Anna Toselli an Operatic Diva instilled a love of music into her daughter and cultivated her singing voice from an early age
At 15 she went on tour with her mother performing in such places as "Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Teatro di San Carlo, Naples and Opéra royal du château de Versailles, Versailles.
Bella was considered a Diva at age 16 and could have chosen to be a much sought after member of any Opera company.

[u]Academy Background[/u]: Entering the academy on her 17th birthday Bella proved an exemplary student. Having been raised on a Galaxy class the Venture she had enough experience with Star Fleet Directives, Regs, Orders and Technology that she had an edge on most of her classmates. 
She attended premed courses while at the academy her experience helping her father allowing her to show I higher degree of understanding. Her scores academically were the highest in her class and she graduated in 2nd place.

[u]Post-Academy Background[/u]: Once she graduated she applied and was accepted to the Seleana Medical School Luna where she shone as a student eventually graduating she was in her classes top 10 in fact she was 3rd.
After Med school Bella did 2 years intern on Star Base 415. 
She now has applied an been accepted as the Cutlass CMO hoping to at last return to her roots as a star traveler.

[u]Other:[/u] Bella is excellent at reading body language sometimes almost seeming to be empathic
Her physiology requires that she take inhibitors to limit her pheromone excretion which not treated can cause disruption among the male members of the crew. Because of the inhibitors Bella has never dated because she knows such close physical contact could still result in something she doesn't wish
