[For Whom Has Power Shall Control All] Sinking, sinking ever so slowly, it’s almost as if you’re floating. Are you sinking in water? It is hard to move, but you don’t resist it. Instead, you let yourself fall, only opening your eyes towards the end. As if on instinct, you bring yourself to an upright position. Your feet touch what you think is the floor, only for it to erupt around you. Birds of purest white scatter, revealing an image underneath your feet. Shaded mostly pink, you see several silhouettes scattered around. Seven of them, to be exact, each surrounded by a heart with a crown placed above each heart. Before you can inspect it further, however, a voice calls out to you. “Good, you’re here at last. Can you walk?” You take a step forward, as if to confirm the voice’s suspicions, and you look around. The birds are long gone and only darkness surrounds you. Where could the voice be coming from? “It’s alright.” It continues, reassuring you. “All is well at the moment, but your entire world has been lost to darkness. It is not the first or the last world to perish. The darkness will soon overcome everything…but that doesn’t mean your existence will come to an end. No, instead…it will be the beginning of your journey.” For some reason, you aren’t alarmed to this news. While worries do poke the back of your head, you feel that you need to listen; you remain quiet, hoping for more explanation, though your eyes return to the silhouettes. “You will learn who they are once you and I meet.” The voice continued. “Yes, we will meet…you and several others, in fact. Your destinies have become intertwined, you see, though not all of you may be allies. Still, it will be…interesting to see who ends up where. For sometimes even the gentlest soul may give in to the darkness, and the person with the most secrets ends up having the brightest light.” Those words have your thoughts buzzing again, though the sound of glass cracking catches your attention. You look down, and to your horror, you realize the ground is breaking. You try your best to remain steady, but even when you are still it continues to crack. “There is no need to be afraid.“ It says to you. “For now you will join the others, and myself, to the world where those scattered from their homes meet. Until then, farewell.” Your body drops through the glass, falling once more. The scattered remains of the floor glow around you. You feel a warmth, despite your situation. Another voice calls to you, this one much gentler then the first, but you can’t quite understand what it’s saying. The glass pieces dissipate into light, temporarily blinding you, and just as you feel yourself fade away, the gentle voice speaks once again: “You’re my only hope.” ----- Welcome to Kingdom Hearts: Destiny. This is an Alternate Universe Roleplay where our Original Characters take place of the heroes. As you can see, the Roleplay starts with your home already destroyed--once the In Character is up, we will be starting off in Traverse Town, regardless of affiliation. Here you will meet someone who will help kickstart your journey--whether it be the voice that guided you through your Dive to the Heart, Maleficent who just so happened to rescue you from fading away like the rest of your world, or someone who just so happen to need your help. Either way, this roleplay will be focused more on the characters and their actions towards one another, as well as the decisions made. You will see that sometimes the Light is not always good, nor is the Darkness always evil. Now then, shall we begin?
Note that these terms are for YOU to know; the characters will eventually learn them as the plot advances. Keyblades are mysterious weapons that choose their masters. The main power of the Keyblade, however, is the ability to seal or open the barriers between worlds, as well as to "lock" a world's Keyhole, preventing the Heartless from attacking that world's heart. As an offset of this ability, the Keyblade can also be used to lock or unlock any lock, allowing the user to access any sealed interior, whether it be a locked room, gate, or treasure chest. The Keyblade opens and shuts locks by emitting a bright, thin beam of light. In addition to its base powers, it is possible to modify a Keyblade's appearance and powers by attaching various Keychains. Heartless are physical, living manifestations of the darkness within people's hearts. They manifest in two forms; "Pureblood" and "Emblem" (Emblem Heartless being created artificially), and they behave entirely devoid of emotion, hence the name "Heartless". Heartless, Emblem or Pureblood, possess several key characteristics that define them as Heartless. All Heartless are created when the darkness that resides in a person's heart consumes him or her, thus giving the darkness shape and form. Being born from darkness, they are mindless and act on instinct, their only goal to find hearts, and consume them to create more Heartless. But what they desire above all are the hearts of worlds, and thus they enter worlds in search of the way into the hearts of the worlds. When they consume these colossal hearts, the remains of the world form new worlds. At the same time, Heartless seek out the users of the Keyblade, since the Keyblades are able to vanquish Heartless very effectively. In order to stop the users of the Keyblades, the Heartless use the Keyblade itself as a homing beacon, but ultimately desire to take the heart that commands it. Because of this, Keyblade wielders and everyone around them are under constant attack. Wayward Travelers are those who have passed through the barriers separating the worlds, whether it be by accident or on purpose. By passing through the barriers, they gain their own power, manifested in a weapon. The weapon attunes to the nature of their hearts, and explains why they are able to use said weapons easily and efficiently. While they are not keyblades, they are certainly effective on the Heartless. Dark Apprentices are those taken in by Maleficent, agreeing to serve her in exchange for whatever they want--power, fame, love, any desire they wish. In exchange, they do her bidding. They are able to wield the power of darkness, though to say they are evil is...not entirely correct. Unlike villains, they are motivated by the desire to have their wishes fulfilled. They move from place to place through the Corridors of Darkness, their hearts resistant to said darkness by an enchantment placed on them by Maleficent herself.

0. Typical RPGuild rules, no Godmodding, Powerplaying, keep everything rated T for Teen (yes I know KH is E, but who cares right?) blah blah blah. Though I may do some minor Godmodding to move things along. 1. One and a half characters per person. See below for what I mean by half. 2. Please make sure to respect your fellow peers, including your GM (that’d be me). It’s all in good fun. 3. Despite the minimum standards of the section being one paragraph for a post, for this roleplay I will be bumping it up to two paragraphs. 4. I rarely ever reject anyone. Seriously. That doesn’t mean I won’t scrutinize your CS and make sure it is up to the standard I want. If I don’t like it or it seems off, I will have you change it. Otherwise I just won’t accept you. :D 5. Variety is key to being accepted into the roleplay. For the first few people who submit their CSs, they will of course be exempt as well, they’re the first, but if you come and see a Wayward Traveler whose personality is courageous, wields a sword, and fights like a warrior, don’t think you can do the same thing and expect to get accepted. This is actually crucial, because I’m not requiring a history for the CS, so you have to be memorable in someway, okay? 6. On that note, be creative! There is no such thing as a truly original idea, but that doesn’t mean you can be boring. Even if you’re just another person with a Keyblade, maybe the fact that you can pick up any chicks within a five mile radius (you stud) is what makes you different from the others. And Wayward Travelers have NO excuse not to have fun, you can literally make your weapon ANYTHING except needles because those freak me out. 7. There are three and a half factions from which you have to choose: The Keyblade Wielders, Wayward Travelers, Dark Apprentices, and the canon Disney Villains. I say “half” because you don’t really need a CS to play a Disney Villain, though I thought keeping that as an option could be fun (maybe you wanna play Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town, or Jafar in Agrabah?) though the only exception would be Maleficent, as I will be playing her unless someone can convince me otherwise. As for the other three factions, there will be limits on each one, as too many people will confuse the plot. No one faction is more important than the other, as each person (yes, every single one of you) will have a part to play in the story I have in mind. 8. Still with me? Cool. This is supposed to be a fun RP, so have fun with it. Seriously, dude, don’t be a killjoy. Collaborate with your fellow people, set up fights, get mad, happy, sad in the IC, make sure you’re on the same page as everyone and we can have this going like a well-oiled machine. Just for fun, I’d like you to add a quote of something your character would say at the top of your CS, above your Appearance. Just an idea of what your character is like. 9. Any questions, comments or concerns will be addressed accordingly, and if for whatever reason I do not address it, feel free to pester and poke me until I do. I will do my best to answer whatever it is you want.
