It would be a lie if Taerys said that she wasn't a little confused as to why there was such a massive hurry, but she knew that these people had been surviving here against whatever was out there for a while now. It would be naive and unjustified to question their calls. She was a stranger in a strange land full of people that she didn't know, although she'd been in this same situation so many times in her life that, oddly enough, she knew what she needed to do. With a hand place loosely around the hilt of one of her knives, Taerys made her way back down the stairs and followed the colonists, albeit staying a bit further behind than usual. If she could help then she would. That's the only way that they were going to survive. Of course, she'd be careful not to extend her helping hand out too far to these colonists; she didn't want them desperately grasping at it when the only thing that would accomplish would be to pull her down with them too. First and foremost, Taerys had loyalty to herself. The Varyx slowed to a stop as she noticed a commotion up ahead of her at what she presumed to be a gate of sorts. It took a few moments, but as soon as one large, lumbering beast came through she knew who it is. "Put your weapons down." Taerys called out as she walked forwards a little, focusing primarily on Jack. "Radios don't work. I couldn't contact you. Now hurry up and let them close them gate."
