Samuel drove wildly down an old, dirt road. He was more than annoyed when Mathias had called them out on a hunt in the middle of he night, but he came ready for a fight just like every other time his 'father' gave him a target. He loved slaying he got a real thrill out of it. It also helped that he was making the world better by hunting down evil supernatural creatures. The ones he was going after right now were no exception. The harpies he was chasing started to screech as they flew away from him. Hopefully Mathias had called the others out too or else he was in for a very long night.

Michelle sighed and looked up at the new home with a curious glint in her eyes. She didn't like moving. Especially in the middle of the night like felons escaping the law. Michelle jumped when an arm wrapped around her and rested on her shoulder. She turned to look at her over-enthusiastic aunt. "Oh, Michelle! Isn't it beautiful! I wanted to surprise you! No worries about the furniture, either. It's fully furnished, so all you need is clothes, which you have. I guess we don't need anything besides food! Which we'll be getting tomorrow. Just go get settled and get some rest!" Becky, her aunt, said. Michelle just shrugged and went to grab her large, black suitcase from her aunt's Mercedes. Becky, on the other hand, shuffled in her high heels and long pencil skirt. She was excitedly going to the doors, keys jangling with every movement. Michelle grabbed her suitcase and followed after her. Michelle was very different from her aunt. While Becky wore skirts and pink tank tops, Michelle wore jeans, a band tee, and converse. Michelle stood behind her aunt as Becky threw open the door and pushing Michelle in. Of course, Becky wasn't just "excited" about the move, but she was still holding back from Michelle. Anyway, Michelle stumbled into the house and turned to Becky with a shocked expression. Becky, covering up her hurried entrance, clapped excitedly with a small squeal. "Oh! I'm so excited!" Michelle, recovering from her shove, smiled tiredly and said "yeah, I wi be tomorrow when I wake up in a new room. Speaking of which, where is my room?" Becky grinned and pointed down the hall. "Second door to your right." Michelle grabbed her suitcase and said "thanks! Goodnight!" She hurried to her room and immediately opened the door and fell onto the bed. She didn't even take enough time to look around the room. She just wanted to sleep.

Tanya was just about to head in for the night when she received a text from Matthias. A job. Great. With a groan, the girl got dressed and packed and hopped on her bike. Using its built in blue tooth she called up Samuel as she drove. Apparently it was harpies and he would probably need help. She waited for him to answer.

Lin woke up to the sound of his cellphone ringing and wasn't surprised to see it was a text from Mathias. He was told to hurry and get to where Samuel was in order to help with a job. The targets were harpies, not an easy target but not hard to get rid of if you have a group. Lin quickly hopped out of bed, got his clothes on, hopped on his bike, and headed towards the destination where Samuel was.

Gwen heard commotion in and around the house she throught they must be going on a hunt, however she hadn't got a text or anything from Mathias, and she knew exactly why. Her cough clung to her chest and refused to let go almost every day she was coughing and coughing, she hated for Mathias to see her this way, because she hated not being able to go on a hunt. She hated not being able to do the one thing she was trained for her entire life. She hated failing her dad.

Noel sat quietly staring out the window when Tanya hurried past her followed moments later by Lin. "Must be something important.." She reached over to her silenced cell and viewed the text. With a sigh she stood and walked to the kitchen pausing at the bottom of the stairs to listen to the sound of coughing. Grabbing two cups and a teapot from the cupboards she set out for the task of making tea.
A minute later the herbal tea was ready and she poured two mugs of the steaming liquid. Slowly she made her way up the stairs trying not to spill. "Gwen?" Noel softly called out.

Gwen was still coughing when she heard a voice call out, Noel. "Noel?" She half coughed half spoke. She could smell the sickly smell of herbal tea, the kind Noel always made her, to be honest she hated it, but she drank it out of politeness and having company took her mind off the taste. 'Noel is that you?' She called out 'I'm in here!'

Hearing the voice she headed towards it. "Hi." Noel smiled softly at Gwen as she entered and offered her the tea. "Are you feeling alright?" Noel knew Gwen wasn't but she could always hope. Casting a half glance over her shoulder she sipped her tea. "Seems like they've got a job.

Gwen smiled softly " I think you know the answer to that question" she sighed she took the tea and mumbled thank you, "It looks like they do have a job, yeah."she said she found it funny how she was older than Noel but she seemed so much taller, stronger and older. "Do you think when I get better I might go on a job? Da- I mean Mathias said he'll think about it. I think we both know what that means." She sighed sorrowfully.

Jeffery got a text on his phone, it was from Mathias. "Great, middle of the night harpy hunt. What could be better," he said sarcastically. He got up and put on his white hoodie and black pants. "At least let me eat something first," he says as he leaves his room, walking towards the kitchen.

Michelle was just falling asleep, when she heard a bike start up. She literally jumped out of bed. She blinked wildly and looked around, wondering if she had a window of some sort. Alas, she did! She quickly stumbled to the window and looked out to see a girl speeding off. What could she be doing in the middle of the night? the short redhead thought. She looked toward the door, deciding if her aunt was still out and about. She then unpacked her notebook and pencil and opened the window. She knew her aunt would probably punish her if she was caught, but she loved the night air and she really couldn't fall asleep now that she's been woken up so many times. Besides, she slept on the way there. She continued writing about a beautiful creature thinking she was human when in fact, she was something far more different. She wrote about hunters coming after the girl and her not knowing why she had to stay inside, locked up, for her entire life. She sat down on the window sill and went to writing.

John had been sitting in the beanbag in his room, reading a book by the light from his desk lamp when his phone buzzed with a text. He checked it and sighed. "Awesome. Late night harpy hunt after a full day of hunting," John muttered to himself. He put on pants, a Paramore t-shirt he had gotten at a concert last year, and his black converse. He strapped on three scabbards. Two for his swords and one for his dagger. He ran out of his room and down the hallway, passing Gwen's room on the way. He decided not to poke his head in and ask if Noel was coming or not. He knew Gwen probably wasn't and he didn't want to rub that in. He took the stairs two at a time to the garage where he hopped in his old Volkswagen Beetle. The car had fallen apart countless times before John snuck out to get a potion from a witch, something Mathias definitely wouldn't approve of. Long story short, his car ran better than ever. Though it did sound like gunshots when it started up. He turned the key and sure enough, the tell tale sound of the Beetle rattled his ear drums. He pulled out of the garage and sped off after Tanya who's motorcycle wasn't too much ahead of him.

Alyssa entered her home, seeing that she just came from her job, which was as a waitress in a restaurant. She was so exhausted and then she had to wake up early tomorrow for school. As she entered the house, she went up to her room, listening to a bike, a car sounding off, they were out somewhere, but where? Alyssa looked out the window raising an eyebrow, so she decided to go take a shower. Alyssa would text her friend, Gwen. But she was probably busy or something.

Gwen picked up her phone and coughed a little bit, she entered 'ALYSSA' into the phones names, and began to write her a text. "Hey, how are you? My cough as been getting worse :( But Noel has made me some herbal tea! Hope to see you soon, Gwen xoxo" She clicked the phone shut and sipped some of the herbal tea, it had an earthy smell, and it reminded her of a lot of childhood memories, happy ones.

Samuel sped up in an effort to keep up with the fleeing harpies. Every so often they would dip down closer to his car, probably in an attempt to taunt him which just made him furious. "I can't believe it! " His phone started ringing showing Tanya was calling, finally he was getting some backup. He grabbed the phone with his free hand. "Hey, Mathias fill you in already?"

Noel smiled sweetly at Gwen. She wished Gwen's health was better. "Maybe someday I'll take you." She honestly meant it, even though she was scared out of her wits in battle. Sipping her tea she watch Gwen over the cup. "Who ya texting?" She cocked her head like curious puppy and silently sipped the steaming liquid again.

"Oh? Just Alyssa. Aren't you going to help the others? And, we both know I'm not good at fighting, I was dad's worst student. Speaking of dad, do you know where he is?" She let the words dad slip out without thinking about it, she didn't really feel she had the right to call him father, after all the failures she's had, but she loved him like one, she could only hope he wasn't listening, Gwen coughed again into a tissue, and threw it into the bin. "I wish I wasn't always so sickly"

Noel stared at her reflection in the tea ashamed. She knew full well she should have gone with them to fight but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Especially at night. "I.." Sipping her tea to fill the silence she finally looked up with a fallen smile. "I can't drive yet..Remember? They left without me." Her voice cracked in shame for the horrible excuse. She felt horrible for lying to Gwen and her hands began to shake slightly.
She closed her eyes and quietly sighed to clear her head. "I don't. I haven't seen him all night. Perhaps try his phone? He has to be awake, right?." She didn't mention the messages to avoid hurting the sickly girl's feelings.

Jeffery finished eating his small meal, "I forgot some stuff," he said to himself and headed back upstairs. He grabbed his keys and his weapons, and started to leave the room when he tripped. Jeffery hit his head against the floor creating a loud crashing sound as he and his weapons hit the floor. "That really hut," Jeffery said to himself clutching his head as he leaned against the wall. He took his hand from his head and looked at, "great it's bleeding," he shot his hand up to his head, trying to stop blood from getting everywhere.

"Oh no, he'd be annoyed at me waking him up just because I wanted to talk to him." she finished off the last of the tea. "Plus I don't really like to see him when he's angry or annoyed" she looked down at the sheets of her bed, always pristine no matter how much time she spent in there, which was a lot most of the time. "Plus I heard people leaving the house really quick, he must be on a mission or something" She sighed. She let her long black hair fall to her sides. "Also he probably won't be happy to hear me, his sickly daughter. His failure" She let out a small tear at that last line.
