"Oh Gwen." Setting her tea down she wrapped her arms around the small girl. "You're anything but a failure" Resting her head onto top of the older girls she almost cried with Gwen. She hated to see anyone, especially her family, upset.
Suddenly she heard a crash from the hall. Startled she turned to look towards the door. "What was that?" She looked down at Gwen and slowly stood up heading for the door. "Whose home except for us?"
"Hello? Are you okay?" She softly called down the hall.

Lin decided to call Samuel to see if he could hold out until he and Tanya got there, he didn't know if the others had gotten the message yet, but for everyone's sake he had hoped they did. He got a hold of his cellphone and called Samuel and waited for him to pick up.

"I think I'm ok," Jeffery called out into the hallway. He noticed blood start dripping from his head, "on second thought, maybe not. My head is bleeding quite a bit." Jeffery hoped someone would come and help him. He could barely stand up, let alone seek medical attention.

Samuel's phone started beeping showing beware getting another call. He grinned when he saw it was Lin, this night might actually be fun after all. He clicked over to Lin's call. "Please tell me your coming to help me out with this bird problem."

Noel turned to Gwen. "I'll be right back." She smiled then ran down the hall. When she Reached Jeff she kneeled down in front of him looking at his head. "What did you do?" Worriedly she stood up and ran to the bathroom grabbing a wash cloth and wetting it. Within moment she returned a worried look on her face. "Please move your hand so I can see it." Her soft voice was filled with concern.

Jeffery removes his hand from his head revealing a large cut, "well I was in a rush, and I tripped and my head hit the floor. Very hard." He added the last part with a cringe as his head started to ache even more, "hey, you think this will get me out of P.E. tomorrow at school?" He started to laugh but it turned into more pain, he could barely move.

Noel widened her eyes at his bloodied forehead with a small gasp. "This may hurt just a bit.." She placed the cold cloth gently on his head biting her lip.
"I don't think it's quite that deep." Smiling sweetly to soften the mood she lifted the cloth to see it's still bleeding and placed it back on his head. "Are you okay? Can you see?" She held up two fingers in front of his face with her unused hand. "How many fingers is this?"

Jeffery cringed when the cloth was applied to his forehead, it did sting a little bit. "Um, I don't know. My vision is a little blurry," he said hoping it's not as bad as he thinks, " I think I have a slight concussion."

Michelle sighed as she looked out of the window and looked at the sky. She watched as the moon disappeared behind a cloud. She just stared, wondering if her parents were on that cloud watching her. Suddenly, her door was thrown open and Michelle, in one swift motion, jumped and fell out of the window, landing in a bush. Becky ran to the window in which Michelle exited with wide eyes. "Michelle? Are you okay?!" Becky's shrill voice instantly shot threw Michelle's ears, causing her to gain a headache. She didn't feel much pain. She just had branches and leaves all over her. "Yeah, I'm fine! Just a little... dirty." She looked up at her aunt with a sheepish grin.

Mathias Blackwell whistled slowly as he walked, gripping his pistol tightly. As he walked through the cool night air he was the pure visage of calm, the same could not be said to the young man currently running away from him. The creature escaping him had a shaved head, a black leather jacket, and skin as pale as death.

Mathias had a very complicated view on vampires, some of the greatest people he knew were vampires, yet it seemed they always had to come up on his radar at the most inconvenient times. He raised the pistol slowly and without a second glance he pulled the trigger. Despite the distance, his shot was right on the mark, and as soon as it made contact with the vamp's head, it's whole body exploded into a pile of ash. Now that the target was dead he could finally check on the kids. He already knew Sam was dealing with the harpies, he had already notified the others to provide him with assistance, but Gwen would still be home. With how sick she was he didn't want her out in the field, it would be too dangerous for her. While he would never admit it he worried for all of them. He removed his phone from his pocket and called Gwen's phone,

Gwen picked up her phone and saw the words "DAD CALLING" She immediantly pushed the answer call button, and coughed slightly. Shoot! She didn't want to cough infront of him "Sorry about that dad, sorry I couldn't join the hunt tonight, thankyou for calling me, how are you?" she said, taking a small amount of respite in the short silence before he talked.

"You can't see well..?" Noel looked at him concerned. "Maybe we should have someone take a look at it.." She stared at his head for a minute before making up her mind. "Here. I'll help you to the kitchen..Then we'll call someone to take a look." She smiled at him and stood offering her hand down to him.

Gwen picked up her phone and coughed a little bit, she entered 'ALYSSA' into the phones names, and began to write her a text. "Hey, how are you? My cough as been getting worse :( But Noel has made me some herbal tea! Hope to see you soon, Gwen xoxo" She clicked the phone shut and sipped some of the herbal tea, it had an earthy smell, and it reminded her of a lot of childhood memories, happy ones.

Alyssa finished showering looking down at her phone, raising an eyebroe. It was Gwen. "Oh hey girl! Oh really? Well. I hope you feel better soon. I just came back from work. :( Im so tired!" She sighed sending the text and now going to put on her clothes, which was a simple white tank top, black short pants and some socks, she was going to sleep after all.

Jeffery took the hand and forced himself up despite the pain, "thanks for the help," he said as they walked to the kitchen. As soon as they got there Jeffery sat down in a chair, "I'm going to need to tell Mathias that I can't join in on the hunt, oh well," he said not all that disappointed.

"I'm fine." Mathias frowned when he heard her cough and it deepened when she tried to apologize."Gwen you have nothing to apologize for. You just have to worry about feeling better." He kicked the ash pile lightly before making his way over to his car. "I'm on my way home right now. Do you need me to get you anything?"

"No thank you, but dad, even when I do end up getting better, I'm just going to fall sick again, like always. But I do have things to apologize for, a lot of things. Things everyone pretends are nothing, but really means a great deal. I'm sorry I'm never going to be able to hunt. I'm sorry daddy." She said this last line with almost childlike innocence. She felt a sinking feeling in her stomach, as if she knew the truth, but kept it hidden from herself, because the reality was too painful to bear.

Samuel's phone

"Yup. Be there in ten." She said and clicked the call. She hadn't been fighting with the family long but she had been fighting for just as long as they had. Tanya had her battle wounds and wore them proudly. She revved her bike and sped down the road, pink hair streaming behind her.

It didn't take long for the girl to reach Samuel. When she did she took her sniper rifle off the side of her bike and removed the silencer, seeing no need for it. Tanya kept an eye to the sky as Harpies circled and swooped at Samuel. "Hey you old hags!" She yelled and she raised her weapon and fired into the fray.

John sped up when he saw Tanya start shooting. He hadn't bothered to call Sam. Unlike most kids, John wasn't on his phone constantly. Sure he played games and he texted some friends, but outside of his family, he didn't have. Alyssa and a few friends from school was it. So he rarely used his phone, even to let the others know he was on his way. Unless it was something a little more serious than harpies. Damn bird ladies were just downright annoying. He pulled up behind Tanya and rolled down the window on his side. The creatures had taken notice of him and were screeching at his window, swooping back and forth. He drew a sword and cut a couple to dust before rolling the window back up.

Jeffery was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, he made sure to text Mathias about what happened. He came home about an hour later with his head wrapped in bandages. Before he went upstairs he yelled through the house in case anyone was still there, "I'm going to sleep now, I had a slight concussion."

Blissvia woke up kinda annoyed hearing people stomping through the halls and down the stairs "What part of beauty sleep don't you people understand?!" she said and threw her large headphones at the door which made a loud clang. Blissvia grumbled and threw the blankets over her head "Damn siblings going on a mission Ughhh" She grabbed her phone and scrolled through her messages there was a few but she just tossed it to at the table and fell back to sleep. Once shr closed her eyes images of her famil flash ed in front of her and blissvia's stomach had butterflies in it and she thought how disapointed her father might be if she didn't go on a hunt tonight bilss grumbled and rolled out of bed and grabbed her phone "where are you; she texted to her father
