A few minutes after having something to eat and drink, as well as talking to Helena as he did those things, Jack found himself being incredibly tired and worn out. It was to be expected given the day that all the mutants had today. From the mental fatigue of losing Noel to the just overall stress and physical exhaustion. It was just too much, especially for Jack. So, he was looking forward to a good night’s rest. As he found himself in the areas where the male dorms were, Jack just picked one. He really didn’t care at this point which room he slept in. So, just picking the nearest one that he found, he picked the one on the left. He saw what he expected to see. There was a closet, a nightstand, some little decorative items and a bed. Nothing really too special about the room. Jack really didn’t care because all he was interested in was the bed. So, slipping off his slippers and taking off his shirt, Jack climbed into the bed and within five or so minutes, he was fast asleep. About three hours in, Jack was still asleep, but he was tossing and turning, his legs kicking around. If anyone around this time were to walk by his room, they would hear the repeated phrase 'I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.' They would hear it get louder and more guilt-filled.
Jack's Dream The coldness of snow was never kind to anyone, let alone Jack . The harsh winds and the cold temperature always produced mass blizzards, but it’s odd behavior for Spring, that’s for sure. Not a single weatherman was sure what has caused this, but one lonesome Canadian does. Yes, he knows cause he is the cause of it. His name is Jack Taylor Smith and he caused this blizzard, but how? Well, he has powers — strong powers, but no control. In the motel he stays at, he only remembers what he did as a kid; killing all of his fellow classmates. The sadness he felt then is represented now, even at the age of fourteen. But this particular feeling he’s having is nothing when compared to what he’s putting the family in his room through, they have a baby and it’s getting colder and colder. The mom and dad of the family are pleading with him to stop the cold weather, but Jack can’t control it. His emotions are tied to his powers and usually he would have evaded this family, but he was staying in the motel room and they begged to use his bathroom cause he was the only one who had an taken room and it was really late. Jack didn’t think they would be at his room for long, but then that’s when all went to hell. Jack was just remembering when he was with his family and that led to the awful sadness and disparity he felt when his powers were unlocked. Then it led to him leaving his family and that was it: Family. Yes, family was the thing that started him feeling so down and out, and that’s when his body was surrounded by a chilling aura. Then the dropping of the overall temperature both inside and outside the room started. Jack’s crying added to the acceleration of it. It got to the point where icicles started to form. As that happened Jack kept repeating the same thing. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” As he kept saying that, he held his head with his hands, dropping down to his knees slowly, crying like he never did before. As he reached a body position in which his knees were pressed against his stomach and his elbows on the ground and his head as well. The repeated sentences got louder and as the loudness increased, the degrees in temperature in and out of the room decreased more and more. Jack didn’t know what was going on, but something snapped. Jack lost it. His mind went out of the range of normal. He started getting angry and unbeknownst to Jack, he had reached the point of power that he did on that one night. The rushing of the aura that surrounded him covered the entire room in ice within one minute including the family. As Jack came to, he saw, on the left(near the exit/door, the family holding each other. Dead.
Jack popped up, covered in sweat and breathing heavily. He ran his head across his face, shaking his head in the process. “Not that dream again. Dammit!”
