Why not use a chain based affinity 8D can bring the kinks wherever they may be needed

@Vita, also, Im interested in joining but idk if im gonna have the commitment and stick with it. But do you mind if i stick around for a little bit and, at least until the ooc is up maybe, see if i'd be willing to stay on board or not?

Also, mind if I ask you about homunculi and such?

Well, these are pretty generic ones, but there's a Water Affinity, Lightning Affinity, Magnetism Affinity, Earth Affinity, etc. Basically, any /natural/ force I guess. Maybe you could even throw in an Emotions/Perception Affinity too, although that would probably fall under the Illusions Affinity.

Is air affinity fine? It would allow Yosuke to be able to send bullets at a high velocity and also be able to control storms i.e. thunderstorms.

Remember that as an onymouji he uses spells and rituals involving ofuda to get these effects. Air is a completely valid affinity, though.

I'm not sure about starting thunderstorms with it though.

Okay, um... first thing I notice is that near light speed is waaaaay too fast for the bullets. That's nearly 299,792,458 meters per second.

Currently tossing about ideas in my head for affinities, but are there any personal restrictions you have regarding magical affinities other than the not man-made bit?

Personal restrictions? Well, as stated, mana as an affinity is completely off-limits. This is due to there being only one mage in the setting possessing the affinity and also because it is kind of really broken for this RP.

As for others, 4(as it can be connected to death), Death(for obvious reasons no player characters should have this)... as for anything else it's really on a case-by-case basis.

Ah, okay. I was gonna go for something like an affinity of Direction - which, now that I look through the CSs, I probably won't do considering the agents of force we already have present - or something concerning specialization in Familiar crafting or written magic. Really it was the former I was concerned about.

@Grey: Well, any mage can create a familiar. Written magic can also be done with any affinity, but again with a case of something I didn't think would be immediately relevant, purely going off of written magic is called Theurgy and is generally done to supplement magi with low levels of low-quality mana.

I suppose the fact that there's a lot of options can make it hard. ^^;

All I can suggest is think about what kind of spells you want your character to be best with.

Alrighty, keep in mind it involves rituals much more extensively. This includes chalk magic circles and all that kind of stuff.

Other magi do this too, but they don't do it nearly as much.
