1-5 are the bloodgulch chronicles. You get a bit of freelancer in it but most of it is them arsing around and I always enjoy them.
6-10 are the real Freelancer stuff.

The basic AI concept is from HALO.

The Alpha is made in the same way as Cortana. A flashclone of the Director is made and his brain deep scanned (this kills the brain), so the Alpha is the 'same' as the Director. Although their paths then diverge. In RvB the Alpha is tortured until it's personality splits into seperate Fragments, these are the AI fragments we are talking about.

I'm not sure how cannon RvB is, but in Halo 4 there are RvB eastereggs so..

The fragmentation is RvB, the AI is all HALO.

I don't think its canon in the Halo Universe. I also saw it as a concurrent program as the Spartan Program. Seemed to make more sense especially when you see some of the Freelancer scenes. UNSC getting larget, ships without shields. Populated colonies as while halo doesn't follow RvB, RvB tries to follow halo.

I know what RVB is, I been watching since season 1. I own every season on bluray that is available.

Well I think keeping the AI that augments and suits the Freelancer is an essential thing we should mimic. Unless you want to be a Maine type char where the AI doesn't suit you? Sure that could be arranged :P

Project Freelancer was started during the war, however Master Chief ended the war prematurely leaving them without any aims.

RvB takes place after the war with the Covenant.

It's probably not cannon though :L

This took off better than expected.

YES, I would be Gm but I'm open to Co-GM's as long as there is communication so we don't try to steer the rp into different directions.

Here's what I'm thinking. (Please do tell if anything strikes you in the wrong way.)
We're all freelancers, Pre-A.I., but are being judged on their skills to decide who will get an A.I. and when. I was thinking you could also create an A.I. and you would be paired (by the Gm(s)) with another freelancer. That way we don't have people playing their own A.I's and it'll be more fun. Thoughts?

I had a suggestion, if I may. All of what you've put seems fine to me, but maybe the GM (and the co-GMs) could double as The Director and Councilor to give missions, distribute AI, etc. It's just something I thought of and wanted to run it here and see if you guys thought it was a good idea.

I thought 4 is quite careful to state that the Covenant in it are not official covenant but are more like rebels.

That's why they have worse equipment and worse discipline?


I guess we could pair you with yourself. Does anyone else have an issue with being with someone else as their A.I?


This could become quite clunky as in combat situations we will need to converse with our AI. I have no problem with someone else being my ai but am concerned about anything apart from socializing with the ai.

On a different note; If you are going to be the Director then the Alpha is going to be 'you'. So maybe you should write a character and then people can from that description make their fragments, this would ensure common origin between the fragments.

Didact is not Covenant. He is Forerunner.

Jul 'Mdama's Covenant faction started another war with the UNSC.
