"A long time ago, within my realm, there were those who wanted to consume the Power of Existence for their own ambitions, and then there were us Crimson Lords, who refused to allow these beings, the Tomogara, to interfere with the Power, creating an imbalance that threatened to destroy both my home and the world that we understood. Us Crimson Lords are to protect this world as well from the imbalance of power. The Balance of Power must be preserved." 

Alastor would continue his goal, even though the Tomogara were not a blight on this world. There is still the threat of existence influx through other factions. And as such, Alastor wanted to prevent the world from destroying itself, even if it meant that the Flame Haze would have to take an aggressive stance towards certain factions.
