LOL, of course it would have "siren" in it.
And it does make sense. I'm so down for this. I'm almost done with my CS, I just have to lock down that personality and that bio!
Edit: DONE!
Name: Yuki Amatsume
Age: 16
Picture:
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 135 lbs.
Yuki likes to wear dangling red diamond earrings, light mascara, and a soft hued lipstick that blends in almost effortlessly to her lilac pink lips.
Tail:
Her tail is of a deep ocean color and gets darker as it reaches down to her fins.
Outfits:
Yuki likes blazers a lot, whether they be short or long. She thinks they fit her androgynous look very well.
Power: Ice/Freeze powers
Personality: Yuki is the type of person who is simply content in going with the flow. She is not particularly ambitious or passionate about anything, nor does she go out of her way to make friends, so she comes off as a pretty aloof individual. That’s not to say she shrugs off any invitation of any kind of relationship; in fact, she does like having people to hang around. However, she is just as comfortable being by herself as she is with others. She has this easy-going way of living life, thinking “Whatever will come, will come. I can handle it.” Because of this flexible outlook on life, Yuki simply tends to make suggestions to her loved ones in terms of advice: she can clarify her meaning, but only they can decide what to do with her input.
She likes to lie back and observe her surroundings, as she tends to find everything and everyone interesting in their own ways, big or small. Because of this, she takes on problems with a more tactical and multi-angular approach, and paired with her natural brightness of mind and quick learning, she gets things done rather efficiently and swiftly. She takes quite a bit of pride in her mental capabilities, and gets especially annoyed when people insult her intelligence.
Yuki likes to surround herself with soft ambiance and natural landscapes, with Mako Island being the perfect place for that. She also appreciates the hustle and bustle and the invisible disconnects in cities that exist amongst the people. She likes to take all of the atmosphere of a particular place she’s liked, and jot it down in both memory, spirit, and in writing. She likes to live not only in the present, when all the sensations are alive and very real, but also in the past and future; she does not take these little moments for granted, much to the appreciation of those around her.
When Yuki is angered or sad, she tends to be non-confrontational; she usually deals with these situations alone, trying to use her analytical skills to get past problems. She does not like relying on others to solve her issues, and as a result, she constantly overlooks the emotional aspect of an obstacle when it comes to herself; she rarely vents or talks to anyone about her feelings, as constantly suppressing them makes it hard for her to talk about them.
She treats acquaintances with a friendly, laid-back attitude: she greets them with a small, curved smile and a basic greeting, along with a couple of small finger touches to the shoulder or arm, and a few questions about their everyday life, nothing really major. For friends she’s more comfortable with, she starts opening up her mind more, asking them slightly deeper, more personal questions, stuff about their family, what do they think they’re going to do with their life, she tends to value their opinions more, she inquires about interests, she asks about beliefs, and she gives them fuller touches on the shoulder, arm, or even cheek if they allow it.
Bio: Yuki’s parents, Soujiro and Ueno Amatsume, decided to move from Japan to Aulani Island because they greatly disliked Japan’s overtly rigid and unforgiving business disciplines. They wanted a more easy-going, but still highly successful mini drink shop, with plans of expanding, without the constraints of excessive papers and picky, anal investors. With a bit of their own credit saved up and hearts full of hopes and dreams, they left Japan for a remote island where they could be more liberal with the way they spend their asset money, and to hopefully find some more generous investors. Yuki was born on the tenth day of January, the middle month of winter, followed by her brother, Akahito, three years later during the third of March.
Soujiro was a huge hulk of a Japanese man standing at 6’3” with well-toned muscles and a wall build, but the wrinkels along his forehead and the graying of his hair and beard showed his age. Intimidation constantly paints his face, the angles hard set rigid and the eyes unwavering in their seriousness. Despite his cold, astute stare, he is a calm, warm, loving father, but will not hesitate to intervene with a quick vice grip to the shoulder, arm or wrist if the kids or customers get a little too frisky for their own good. Her mother, Ueno, is a firestorm of a woman: passionate, headstrong, and daring. She thought of the whole drink business to begin with. “People aren’t hungry all the time, but they sure will want to suck on something no matter the time, weather, or place”, she said with a wink to a young Yuki and Akahito. She possesses the charisma and business sense to start and end successfully, but she often can get a little too hot-headed, and that’s where her husband comes in. He cools her down, and makes her think rationally so that she doesn’t claw herself into a rut due to the stress. They make a pretty good pair, both in money and in family.
Writing sample: (This was from a while back.. I don't really have recent writing samples, so this is the most interesting one I could find D:) A long line composed of both fidgeting boys and girls alike streamed from a certain somebody's desk to the bustling hallways. Murmurs and whispers were abound inside the classroom, as only a few of its inhabitants were inside at the moment, not wanting to disturb a certain someone's business. One look at the formation of the students, and immediately, anybody would know that it was that time of the day: a time where people who are in the pits when it came to love turned to their rope-flinging savior, 'The Matchmaker'.
"So... You like this girl, don't you?" Jillian Heartlace asked as she tapped a pencil on the wooden surface, quirking a somewhat doubtful eyebrow at the blushing boy in front of her, who nodded slowly in reply to her question. She slammed down both palms onto her desk, and yelled at him as a fire flared from behind her, "Then be a man, for Pete's sake! Look at you, cowering in fear before me at this moment, and I am just a stranger. What more if it's before that woman? I tell you my friend, if you don't pull yourself together, you're never gonna get a girl!" The boy was knocked aback from his chair, awed by her blazing spirit, then bowed down to her as he said, "Y-you're right. I should be more confident in myself!" A devilish snicker broke off from Jillian's lips, and she patted the boy's head as if to boost himself up. "Yep. Be more confident in yourself. Girls don't like men who have too low a self esteem." With that, her client stood up, thanked her graciously, and walked out of the line, in which a girl replaced his confessor situation.
Her friend, Sasha Hanadera, who always accompanied her during these endeavors, leaned over and remarked, "I thought you were 'The Matchmaker', not the 'Confidence Specialist'." Jillian held up a hand in front of Sasha's face, and retorted as she twirled a finger about, "Different methods are used for different people. Each of my clients have different personalities and needs, thus, I deploy different methods in order for them to confront their significant other." "My, my. She makes a good point, Sasha. Looks like you lose the argument again. Don't worry though; there's still another!" Her childhood friend, Felicity Brilliantes, piped up with her usual cheerful smile. "Aaww, shaddup. And when did this become a contest huh?" Jillian raised both her hands towards her friends, signaling them to shush, which they promptly did so.
When she took a good look at her current client, her eyes went wide as soon as she recognized who it was: Miss Lilian Lovette, a pretty girl with soft, golden hair and gentle blue eyes, who was both admired and scorned by many. What would she be doing in here? Jillian thought curiously to herself. With her looks and personality, she could snag any man right from anyone's nose, so what's the whole point of even coming to the ever famous 'Matchmaker'? Nevertheless, she was now dealing with a client, and whether she liked it or not, she had to listen to her whims and woes, even IF she is regarded as the biggest sl*t in the whole school. Propping up a business-like atmosphere, Jillian clears her throat, looks at Lilian straight in the eyes, and asks, "How may I help you?"
