Romiel is a brilliant leader - he makes all the right friends in all the right places, which has helped him to become a powerful man over the years; The Sixth Division suits him well. He’s charismatic, friendly, laid back and yet, stern and hard at the same time. One of his jobs, like the rest of the Gotei Captains, is to help decide what is best for the Seireitei and that’s just what he does - regardless of personal views and friendships, he makes decisions on the politics and how the Gotei 13 is run… think of him as the perfect public relations Captain.

Despite his job, however, the secrets of friends are important to him, and if one holds his friendship and trust, they can tell him anything. Even if they wanted to overthrow the Gotei 13, he would keep it to himself until such a day where he had to deal with the problem. Romiel isn’t really big on rules - he’s a leader, not a follower; of course he doesn’t run around killing and stealing, but he simply has no regard for authority - luckily, he’s pretty tame, so one doesn’t need to worry about what he gets up to in his spare time.

He’s protective over what is his; should his Division be wiped out and there’s no saving them, he’ll stand right alongside them and fight to the end - it’s just the kind of man he is. The same with his family, his relationship with his wife is a good one, they both know where they stand with each other - she makes the family and he’s the man of the house; his children respect him and he occasionally enjoys their company;.

Very calm in a crisis, it’s easy to rely on Romiel to fix a problem - he’s wise and he’s more than happy to share his wisdom with those seeking his advice. He’s a hardened man who’s seen many battles and survived many hardships; he’s quick witted, and loves to play practical jokes on his friends - he has a strange snese of humour.
 

[b]History:[/b] (WIP)

Romiel has been alive for too many years to count. His childhood was a blur, but memories flash through his mind every now and then, causing a thin line to stretch across his lips… it doesn’t seem to be something he takes joy in remembering, nor does he ever talk about it. All that is really known is, his father was the previous Captain of Division Six and he was a cruel malicious man. He groomed Romiel for his position from the moment he was born - and although he excelled in everything he did, it was never good enough.

Eventually, old man Forveus passed on and Romiel took his place as Captain of the Gotei 13. Life was rather uneventful and he pottered along day to day, going about the politics and the safety of the Seireitei like it was second nature. While he was Captain, he met his wife and eventually married her, proceeding to have two children - a boy and then, a few years later, a little girl.

Gundan
The Legion 
A large group of animalistic shadow demons, disjointed and humanoid with no facial features crawl out from the shadows in the surrounding area and attack the opponent. Although these entities are not very strong, their sharp claws have the power to slice the skin and they have the strength to spear tackle an unsuspecting victim. 

The amount of entities depends on Romiel’s physical state and how much energy he has already wasted on battle. These shadow demons are fast, but easily defeated - lesser opponents run the risk of being overwhelmed by the number of entities trying to attack. When angered, they will try to pin their opponent; ripping their mouths open and screaming in the opponent’s face. Romiel’s Shikai is used more for his own amusement than for his malicious intent.

Inshitsuna Marionetto
Insidious Marionette
The spirit of Akuma no Ningyō manifests itself before his opponent, making up for the physical strength he lacks. The demon does not speak, it simply makes animalistic noises as it’s claws, as sharp as double edged swords, slice open new wounds on it’s victim. However, when the shadow demon is injured, the injuries are transferred to Romiel. 

This ability allows him to control it from a distance, while he goes about the battle in a strategic way - perhaps slipping behind his unsuspecting enemy while the shadow demon keeps them distracted. His range; however, is limited - for instance, from his office desk, he would not be able to manifest the spirit over in the rukon district. He is, however, be able to control it within his Division and he’s able to expand it to the Division 2 barracks so he can frighten Arina on a daily basis.

Romiel’s control over Akuma no Ningyō is exceptional - he and the spirit get along well, it lives to serve him.; this makes them a great team. His time limit is rather extensive; while there is one, not many who have gone up against him and seen the power of his Bankai run dry.
