Unaware of the demise of his "comrade", Jacque was preoccupied with attempting to pry open the door to the crew's quarters. "Come now you blasted thing, just open..." he hissed as he jammed his cane into a small crack of the door and began to wedge it open as far as he could without damaging the cane. Once the doors were opened wide enough for him to slip his hand in, Jacque tucked the cane under his arm and pried open the doors slowly, taking great care to peer into the room through the slowly widening crack for any sign of life, or more importantly, danger. With the room seemingly clear, Jacque opened the doors completely and stepped into the room and raised a brow as he realized just how much stuff had been left behind after the crew disappeared. There were all manner of clothing and other personal affects strewn about the room, a few beds had been flipped, however these things didn't catch his attention nearly as much as the body lying atop one of the overturned mattresses. Jacque strolled over to the body and prodded with his cane, "It looks as though he was trampled to death. An unfortunate way to go." the vampire said with a blank expression. Not bothering to honor a random corpse like he had done the child, Jacque snatched a blanket from the ground and started to walk out when he had a moment of realization: The body wasn't that old, and it being here meant there where likely still plenty of dead aboard, all still filled with semi-fresh blood. Jacque spun on his heel, grabbed the body by the collar, then plopped the blanket onto it's head before once more heading for the exit. "I may not have to eat the others after all. Well, at least not immediately anyway. I'll just drop you in one of the cryo chambers and deposit this blanket for the child, then I can see if I find any of your friends" he said to the body as he dragged it along.
