There will be some old defenses they could confront, mostly traps, but also some ancient robots who has gone haywire. The second time they'd go in they would be escorting a group of scientists who would try to investigate the area, while the Titan's guard them. If they succeed, the scientists will be able to control the security system in the ancient ruins, allowing them to safely conduct further research without the Titan's.
