Ouch that just sounds awful Grothnor, I haven't played Minecraft for a decent amount of time and haven't touched it on consoles, sad to hear you have to restart to use the new materials. 
Having to deal with Creepers and Enders all the while staving off hunger, I wish you luck in your future endeavor good sir.
