ANBU Member, Katsumi Furyoku The First Mission.... Starts Now! And The First Conflict.... Katsumi waited at the gates of the village, she was about half an hour early but there was a reason for that. Gingerly, she took out a scroll, the one where it would summon Fuyu, which she would ask her owl companion to scout ahead a mile or two ahead before everyone arrived. Doing the required handsignals for the summon with the scroll, she watched or rather Fuyu arrive on her waiting arm. "I need you to scout ahead for me, a mile or two is enough for now, can you do that for me?" Katsumi asked, stroking the owls beak before dropping her hand. "Early now, will go ahead as asked," Fuyu said, stretching out her wings before flying off. Katsumi as Fuyu vanished as she flew further and further away, with a sigh, she waited the half hour before they were all told to meet her here. The diplomat, Makabe, had a hard time waking up early, but he did as the ANBU woman asked him. A little groggy he got out of bed and went to his morningritual. After having breakfast he went outside and put on his hat, that beared the kumogakure emblem on the side of it. He met with the ANBU woman at the gate at exactly the right time. "well then, what's next?" he asked Katsumi. Her eyes left the sky as she heard the diplomats voice, raising a single eye brow at his question before turning her eyes back to the sky a distant owl call could be heard, to be exact it sounded like a faint cluck, meaning that it was clear for up to two miles out in the direction of the Snow Country. "Now," Katsumi said, pausing as the four teams of ANBU that were around seventeen arrived, "I give out the orders as to where everyone is assigned to be." Pausing again, as Fuyu came into sight and circled above them without the need to land quite yet, turning to address the ANBU members, she leveled them with a stern look. " Divide yourselves into four groups of four, the odd one, with me and the diplomat. Four in the front, four in the back, four on the left of the gift to the Diamyo and four on the right of the gift for the Diamyo," Katsumi said. Now, finally holding her arm up to signal to Fuyu that she could land, which she did, landing softly on her fore arm. Without any further warning, Katsumi walked out of the village, a way of saying they were moving without actually voicing it out loud. The four teams of ANBU, followed in their specified formation soundlessly as the Diplomat, Makabe, had a hard time keeping up with the pace they were going at, but Katsumi did not slow down. Nor did she speed up, she simply maintained her pace and kept going. "Fuyu, do me a favor and scout ahead about two miles again, " Katsumi said, with that, Fuyu took flight in the direction they were going as Katsumi slowed the pace a bit. A few minutes later, when they were about two miles from the gates, she stopped. That is until she heard the faint cluck sound again, then she continued to go forwards at the moderately fast pace she was using before. It would continue like this for about another three hours, sending Fuyu out to look ahead and waiting till she sounded all clear before starting again. But this time, instead of hearing a faint cluck sound, she heard a high pitch screech and halted. "Be on your guard! My owl has alerted me that there are other people in the area," Katsumi said, her eyes narrowed. It wasnt until about a mile further that they ran until the potential hostile group on the same path, stopping she watched them approach with a slightly disinterested expression as she built up chakra in her palms in case things got ugly. It appeared to be going smoothly, the other group of travellers were showing no interest in her group and everything, until someone started running towards the gift to the Diamyo, the eight ANBU assigned to protect it immediately took action. Katsumi her self was heading towards the hostile and soon one could see spark coming from her hand. But the four ANBU who were assigned to protect the right side had him restrained before she got there.
