Their culture was very alike, ranging from the practice of martial arts to its religious beliefs - though they prayed to many different Gods. These Gods were called Empitzus, who all took the form of ancient artifacts according to the Slider religious practice. During this feudal period, all male Sliders were to be taught the style of the warrior - or as the Japanese would call it - the Samurai. Due to the overwhelming strength of other races on planet Balestrion, the Slider's began to form their own militia - which later became their standing form of government. The way of the blade was sacred to this amphibious race, giving them a sense of morality and peace. Other races turned to high-tech weaponry imported from other known planets, but the Sliders resumed to use the blade, believing that the Empitzu wanted it this way.

The Slider race is built of many amphibian species. All have the ability to breathe under water despite not having visible gills. Their flesh is very dense and rather hard to pierce, but not invulnerable. They are immune to most known toxins, unable to become poisoned. They are also resilient to low temperatures, making them nearly invulnerable to the cold. They are also super strong, but to a degree - lifting a human vehicle is their limit. But a male Slider's most distinct trait is the shell on their back. All male Slider's have a solid nearly-unbreakable shell that they use to defend - aside from using their blades. The plastron - or chest piece - is also as solid as the shell, made of the exact unknown material.

Twenty-Eight Human Years

Male

Tormented by his past as a blood-driven Samurai, Kael'ite has made a vow to never kill again. He has decided to put all his efforts to refrain from harming others and instead protect those in need. This vow is the defining characteristic of Kael'ite's personality and his primary motivation on becoming a true Ronin - a Samurai with no master. He left his corrupted nation after killing numerous victims. Due to this, Kael'ite holds a grievous guilt in his heart that prevents him from becoming emotionally close to people. Even with his prodigious skill as a prolific swordsman, Kael'ite refrains from wielding his great combat strength for his own sake, drawing his sword only for the well-being of others when words fail to appease. But when his strength as a Ronin is insufficient to defend against a particularly threatening foe, Kael'ite's restraint falters and his personality reverts to that of his days as a feudal Samurai. Kael'ite's normally warm nature becomes cold and distant, allowing him to contemplate taking the life of his opponent and even make vicious, bloodthirsty threats. This side of his personality is one that Kael'ite struggles to suppress despite the fact that it keeps emerging when he is under great stress and in need of extra strength. His greatest fear is that, one day, he will return to his former self and become a weapon once more.

Born into the feudal era of Balestrion, Kael'ite was forced into the militia way set forth by the nation's government. The Samurai way was to be taught to all male Sliders, regardless of health or attributes. Taken from his mother, Kael'ite started his training at the age of five. Though at first it seemed like mere games, it later resumed to be similar to a school or dojo. The male Slider's were taught the way of the Samurai according to ancient relics and Empitzu Gods. And with age came harder tasks, training and discipline. Within the years the young Sliders grew up to become the best of the best, reaching ranks no other Samurai had ever imagined. With new profound skill, the head of the government, also known as the Lord, ruled in favor of total dominance. The Samurai - or governmental slaves as the peasants knew them as - would soon infiltrate other nations and take over all their land. Under the impression that he was doing a good dead for his nation, Kael'ite followed every order. He slayed hundreds of people for the sake of the Empitzu Gods and in the name of his Lord. But one mission finally made his world a living nightmare. Following the destruction of the Ravages - a wolf-like race in Balestrion - Kael'ite and a handful of men were ordered to go to an Eastern colony just off the shore. Come to find out that this small colony was were Kael'ite had been raced and where his home still stood tall. At first, the band of Samurai had not received their orders, so took refuge in one of the colony's best community restaurants. They drank with the colonists and had a wonderful time. It all changed when they got their order thought. A small hawk brought forth the order to the commanding Samurai officer. The man sat on the restaurant table with his men and read the note aloud. "In the name of Lord Xarious, the Eastern Colony of Hajime has been declared enemy territory. Annihilate all inhabitants." And with the order set in place, the Samurai started to cut down all the people in the colony. Kael'ite could not believe the bloodshed he was forced to create. He sliced innocent people with his blade, causing it to become dull and heavy with blood. But that wasn't the worst part. Soon enough, he found his mother before his dull sword wide eyes wider than the dark holes eating Kael'ite away. The woman had fallen to her knees and begged Kael'ite to stop killing, not even knowing who he was. She hadn't even realized it was her own child that stood above her with his blade to her neck. Kael'ite hesitate, unwilling to kill his own mother, but as the rest of the colonist fell, it seemed that so did his mother's will to survive. Unexpectedly, Kael'ite's mother took a reached for his blade and made him stab her through the chest, forcing the blade through her chest. Blood escaped through her sobbing lips as tears flowed into the sands below. Kael'ite shivered in pain as he watched his mom die by his own blade. But watching her pain made him even worse, so he quickly jammed the blade deeper through her heart and ended her instantly without saying a word. He put her to rest then watched the entire colony burn as he returned to the Lord's throne. But the decision had already been made halfway to his master. Kael'ite rode his horse-like animal away from the others and rode off into the pits of nowhere. The other Samurai attempted to follow, but failed. Kael'ite had already banished into the abyss. Three years later he had already learned to live a different way, regretting every single minute of every day all he had done in the past. Though he knew forgiveness would never be acquired, Kael'ite served the weak and poor against the Samurai. He'd stopped many raids and murderous intents with his dull blade, preventing unlawful murder and attempting to give back for what he had already taken. But soon enough all that had ended when the Humani struck Balestrion.
Kael'ite is perhaps most well known for his almost inhuman swordsmanship. Having inherited the Tengoku Furasshu-ryū sword style from his master, Kael'ite's light frame allows him to use the style's "godspeed" to its fullest, moving so rapidly that he routinely outpaces the human eye, Outside of Tengoku Furasshu-ryū, Kael'ite has displayed independent sword techniques which are indicative of his own acquired skills. Despite abandoning his Samurai life for that of a Ronins, his swordsmanship ranks among the elite as he is seen defeating every rival. His battle senses are top-notch and he recognizes even the slightest of advantages, strategies and tactics during a sword battle. (Every enemy he's faced have been swordsmen).

Carries Three Dull Katanas On His Back Last Resort Energy Katana (Sharpened) Carried On His Side
