Chris felt drained. Chris felt tired. Chris felt like shit. After using that last attack, Chris was all but drained of any fire power that he had. While he held the box/artifact in one hand, he was just waiting for Beth to follow his lead. He didn’t even notice there was a security guard had a gun shot at him. He heard the gun being fired as the loud boom put a strain on his ears, but he didn’t get shot. When Chris would look behind him, he saw ice. She saved me. That’s odd. Chris surely didn’t see that coming, but perhaps she wasn’t saving him, but maybe she was just hoping not to get caught or something like that. Whichever the case, Chris and Beth went to a white van. As they were at the van, and all the while, Chris put the artifact box in the back of the van, and he pulled out the gem. It started to glow. “Well, this is odd.” He said as he just put it back into his pocket. Whatever mystical items these gems were, Chris definitely had some vague ideas of what they could be. He definitely knew they were connected to the artifact, but how was the million dollar question. Hearing Beth saying she was driving, Chris had no objections. He got into the passenger’s seat, and off they went from the scene. When they would be driving down some roads, Chris was just perplexed by these gems. “Say, Beth, what exactly do you think these gems are? Surely they aren’t from this world.” Chris said, asking about the gems. His first thought was some Doctor Strange type of shit, but that was way out there. Chris definitely had no idea, but he was intrigued.
