Give it time and I'm sure people will develop plenty of rivals. The plot lends itself to that really well. I'm sure Cyril will have plenty of rivals, given his very competitive nature. 

EDIT: Plus there's the inevitable rivalry between the prestigious Ground team and the Heinous Mounties.
