Reika frowned as her transformation paused only slightly. The alarms were still blaring out their hellish noise; an indicator that the Spacequake would still be arriving shortly. Upon seeing the boy step in front of her, Reika considered her options. Was he defending these violent fools? No...no he was speaking to her. Asking her if she wanted to be taught? About...humans? "I...admit I don't know very much about you," she said, referring to all of humanity. "But what little I have studied, I believe I am confident in making my judgements. Humans are...interesting creatures yes, but there is one aspect in which you all share. And I understand that completely." With her right hand still held aloft above her, Reika summoned forth her Angel: a curved black scythe in her left hand. Bringing it down, she rested the blade around the boy's neck. "All humans die and are judged by me, Death. You will die eventually as well. What more is there for me to learn when I already know your fates so clearly?" Reika's robotic tone never wavered and her gaze never lessened. "Why do I need to listen to you when I can release your soul from suffering right now?"
