Name: Kareth of Lendria, the Crimson Serpent
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Relic Description: A bronze armlet shaped like a snake with eyes made of carnelian. It grants the user increased speed, seeming to the user as if time has slowed. This effect exhausts the user quickly and is best when used for brief bursts of reaction time. It can also be used to accelerate the users movements, but at the cost of causing the user bodily harm. The longest Kareth used this acceleration ability for was ten seconds, and he was bed-ridden for a week after, coughing up blood.
Skills: Kareth is a skilled warrior. He has been trained in war since youth and is skilled in the use of most weapons and armors. He knows some generic survival skills and basic weapon/armor repair and maintenance skills, but knows little not regarding to fighting.
Background: Lendria is a small Kingdom constantly threatened by the larger kingdom of Cerania. Even when not officially at war, the people of both nations constantly stage raids against the other, so war is never far from the minds of Lendrians. As such, their warriors are renown for their fierce determination and skill.
Kareth's parents were killed in a border raid when he was young, and he was taken in by a Lendrian Knight, and raised to be a warrior. He soon learned that the family heirloom armlet was in fact a Relic of the Old Kingdom that could help him in combat. He earned considerable fame during wars with Cerania, earning himself the rank of Knight and the title of 'The Crimson Serpent,” in reference to his armlet, his almost unnatural speed and the Standard of Lendria: a red Basilisk.
During his campaigning, he met a young Ceranian woman whom he eventually fell in love with and married. After that war with Cerania ended, Kareth tried to settle down with his wife, but she was killed by fellow Lendrian townsfolk, fearful and hateful of her nationality. With her murder, Kareth realized that he could find no peace or happiness in Lendria, that someone, either Ceranian or Lendrian, would one day come along and try to crush is dreams in the great cycle of vengeance he was a part of. So Kareth left his homeland, searching for a place where he could possibly settle down.
