Blake grew up in the high-end suburbs of an unidentified city in Switzerland. He belonged to a wealthy family with quite the influence throughout the city. Everything seemed to be good, Blake did well in school, his parents cared about him and he had made a lot of friends over the years. Everything was "normal" until the day Blake got in to his first fight when he was 15 years old. The incident that sparked the fight was when the school bully tried to take something from Blake as he was leaving the school. Blake Had refused to give up what the bully wanted, thus causing the altercation between the two. Blake and the bully began to fight, throwing flurries of punches and elbows at each other with no real kind of technique. In an attempt to create space between the two during the fight, Blake pushed the bully away from him. 

As He pushed the bully away from him, the bully stumbled back tripping over his own feet causing him to hit his head on the curb of the sidewalk. Blake watched unsure if the kid was alive or not as he watched blood begin to seep from the kid's head. As Blake stood there looking down to the kid who was now bleeding out, it dawned on him. Blake realized he did not feel any remorse or care for the fact that he just killed the kid. At first he shocked that he felt nothing of his crime, he wondered if he were normal or if it was just the adrenaline keeping him from feeling anything of his crime. Blake decided to put it to a test, he went out with intentions to kill someone else to see if he would feel anything for them or if it were going to be like the time he killed the bully.

 As time passed and after numerous people killed, Blake knew it was going to be like this every time he killed, feeling nothing and not caring that he killed another person. His parents had caught wind of what Blake had been going out at night to do, they were appalled when they found out just how many Blake had killed. With Blake continuing to kill and his murders not being perfect, his parents had to pay for many lawyers to keep Blake out of jail. When the killings didn't stop Blake's parents used their money and influence to find out about the League of Assassins through a shady contact. His parents were mislead about the school. They were told that the school was a place were their son could get the "help" he needs when it came to his habit of killing. Blake's parents didn't want to see him end up in prison, thinking this was the best choice, they resorted to paying for the school with the idea it would help and make him stop killing.
