Well while age is some factor I would say what year you are in depends on when you entered the school, as it isn't a conventional system.

Also, students of any year would have very little hunting experience if any. If you are a fourth year or higher, you would have gone on a few group expeditions to hunt smaller time threats, but that should be about it.
