Marianne is a very quiet girl, though when she thinks no one is looking she will always talk to herself about her opinions on other people. She used to to this in public, but the awkward glaring gave her a sign she probably should only talk to herself when no one could hear it. Otherwise, she shows high interest in unusual things, her dreams often being of the more random variety. Marianne enjoys to sleep more often than she does anything else, and will often just sleep through a day if given the option.

Marianne grew up a very loud and sociable child, and when people started making fun of her for it, the only advice she would ever receive was to "Be herself", and she followed this to heart, so that only made problems worse. She clamped up when she started highschool, and found that she would feel better if she would talk to herself about her own problems, because no one could really reply to her own complaints better than herself. Some people claimed she was going insane, and her first year in highschool was spent in the counselors office talking about her "problems". The only escape Marianne ever felt she had was the comfort of her dreams, where she could be with people who agreed with her and saw her habits as an enjoyable bonus to being her friend, so she prefers to sleep more often than anything.
