Saw the IC and said "Why the heck not?" Tell me if there's any problem.
Name: Typhus
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Relic Description:
The crystal skull is no bigger than a large coin and it attaches itself to any sword or armor you touch it with. When attached to swords the skull will embed itself in a hilt or handle and give the weapon a crackling field of energy. This energy gives it the ability release a small explosion at opportune times but needs to be recharged for about five minutes. However when added to armor it doesn't do anything but increase the durability of that specific piece.
The major drawback of the skull is that once removed from anything, the effects end almost immediately. A secondary drawback is that when attached, the skull permanently twists the sword or armor into demonic versions of the previous item. This may or may not be detrimental as the change is random and chaotic. However these drawbacks don't particularly bother Typhus, but the distrust and unease he gains from his twisted armor troubles him greatly. Plus it has gotten him in a fair amount of trouble with religious fanatics and seems to be having an adverse effect on his body. Now if he could just get that voice out of his head.
Skills:
Sword & Shield: Ever since he was a boy, Typhus has been trained in the art of combat. In fact you could say it is a crippling overspecialization as he has little more expertise in any other skill. However you can't deny that he is nearly without equal when given a sword and shield. Just...don't ask him to cook, attend parties, dance, babysit, attend therapy, and/or ask for advice.
Armor quirks: Typhus has used his "tainted" armor for so long that he knows every nook and twisted cranny. As such he is fairly unhindered by both its bulk or horns, but the eyes still unnerve him out somewhat.
Diabolic Knowledge: The skull is diabolic in nature and could technically be considered a demon if you stretch out the definition. That being said, the skull will tell Typhus secrets in return for life energy which is reaped from the killing of living things. With every secret the price steepens, eventually he will need to kill hundreds for one.
Background:
Typhus was born into a cult out in the middle of no where. Since the day he could walk he has been trained, molded by the "priest" that he will one day be an agent of devastation and bring down their lords fire upon the worms that walk the earth. At first Typhus beloved him, he wanted to make everyone proud and too bring the fire. However that changed when he met Chianti, a girl living in one of the towns that he planned to raid as a form of test. In all honesty, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. After that he began to spend less time with the cult and secretly see her.
Soon, however, the cult caught onto what he was doing and captured Chianti. When Typhus found her, the cult gave him an ultimatum. Kill the girl, or be exiled from the cult. Conflicted with what to do, Typhus felt his obligation to the cult outweighed any personal feelings for some woman. What he did next he instantly regrets. He made it quick and painless but when the cult leader began to praise him for his deed, Typhus snapped. Taking his blade he killed everyone. Even the masters of the sword were no match for Typhus' rage.
In the end, Typhus was the lone victor upon a kingdom of corpses. With nothing left to do or live for, Typhus contemplated falling on his sword before a voice called to him. It was like velvet and steel all at once, it was just like Chianti's voice. Moving to the source, Typhus found a small crystal in the shape of a skull and picked it up. Apparently he had "earned" enough souls to gain two answers. The first question was,
"What are you?" and the skull answered. His second question was
"What do I do now?", the skull answered with
"Go south, challenge worthy foes, fight." With no other skill to use, Typhus decided to fallow the advice of the skull and has been on the move since.
Appearance: Standing 6'5 and with the bulk of a bull, Typhus casts an intimidating shadow. His body is covered in scars from many years of battle and he isn't afraid to show them off, its a matter of pride. Typhus' face would be considered attractive if not for several things. The continued use of the skull has lead to a bleeding effect of sorts from his twisted gear to his body. His skin has taken the color of coal and his eyes glow with an internal fire. Thankfully he hasn't grown horns or a third eye but his teeth seem to be getting sharper.
Motivation: For now, all Typhus wants is challenging battles. With his original purpose gone, he has done the only thing he knows how to and that is to fight. If he deems it worthy enough he will join others in their quest.
