Maybe turning everything to gold is too OP hahaha, but you can have something where you can sense valuables near by, and perhaps you can do something where you can change stuff in to valuables, but it'll drain your energy

Maybe you can have something where if you touch them it causes pain, or you make others have a bit of bad luck, but if you want to do the looking at them thing, I would say it has to be direct eye contact
