Oh, yes, I presume it's the same as usual; discovered powers, chased here by monsters. We'll help you understand your powers, find out your godly parents, and decide whether you're Greek or Roman. Just hop on over to orientation. [i]Zeus help me, not another.[/i] Welcome to the House of Life! You may be scared, probably still shocked from seeing your parent (or parents) using magic. So let's get a few things down, and you can process them later: You come from the line of at least one ancient Pharaoh. You have the ability to use powerful magic once only mythical. And this is the House of Life, the life and training of magicians everywhere. This is your life now, too. The Camp Half-Blood RP by KiraTheRogue is back, now better than ever. After some unfortunate shenanigans with life, the GM position was passed onto me, and I have quite a few new ideas on how this RP will go. With plot twists, new gods, and new mechanics to pass around, I aim for this RP to fulfil the hopes of the original GM [s]in an[/s] above and beyond [s]manner[/s]. This RP will consist of three (technically) separate plot threads (but only one thread!) that will eventually combine into one. This RP will continue what was happening in the original RP, but new members will have something just as important to deal with back at the camp. At the same time, a whole other adventure will be taking place in the House of Life. I'll be tailoring this such that it won't get [i]too[/i] hectic. ;) So without further ado, the rules and character sheets are as follows! Upon joining this roleplay, you agree to these terms and conditions: -You must adhere to basic RPG rules. -You must make two (but only two) characters, one for Camp Half-Blood and one for the House of Life. -No Godmodding. This entails: *Not making your character extremely powerful. This is relative, and will be decided via consensus of Krein and me. *When creating a post, describe your character's actions, but [i]not[/i] the results that pertain to other players. In short, do not auto-hit (or anything else of that sort). -Keep swears to a minimum. -Please try and keep homosexuality out of the RP, or at least to a minimum prominence in the actions of your character. -Please tell us if you are going to be unable to RP for an extended period of time. If you do not tell us, after two weeks your characters will be sent back to the Camp/House. If when you return you are able to provide a reasonable explanation for why you were gone without telling us and how your character can return, you will be welcome to reintegrate your character into the RP. ~Don't forget to ask others via PMs or OOC about mechanics in this world if you aren't sure! if you're still unsure of what they say, contact me. When fighting he will wear black underarmor shorts under the armor. He also wears the camp half blood neckless with 3 symbols on it. Personality: Austin is much like his father. He is brave, and easily finds his way to the leadership type role. He is very serious and does not understand some jokes due to his vary serious training. He keeps a relatively level head, but he can spin out of control. Anything that he considers to take away from the task at hand is to be done away with. Bio: Austin was only nine when he was brought to Luna then the camp. Being a son of the big three, put a big target sign on his head for all the monsters in the surroundings. And Luna, finding him strong and worthy, took him to the camp. He was put in the first cohort. He worked his way up the chain of command for six years, easily one of the best leaders, yet he was so young at the time. One day, he decided to switch to camp half blood, which he did, becoming the second in command to Angelo quickly. Other: he is the second in command of Jupiter/Zeus cabin. Name: Shælyn King (Shay. thats how you say her nickname which is Shæ) Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance: Thick, chestnut hair with lots of light gold high lights, ocean blue yes that change shades of blue and green, lean, golden skinned, smooth skin, 5'8 Personality: Mood changes like the ocean, loyal, loves horses and the water and is cool with her dad. Power: Can control water and talk to horses. Godly Parent: Poseidon Bio: Lives with her mom during school and found out she was a demigod when she turned 13 and met her dad fo the first time. Just sat there shell shocked when they told her. Other: Wears a puca shell choker with a hermit crab shell in the center that her father gave her when she turned 13. She was so elated she hugged him, smiled in thanks and scampered off. Has an finely detailed Ace of spades card tatttoo on her right shoulder blade. The Ace of Spades is her favourite card. Name: Brooke Finch Age: 18 Weapon: A harpoon made out of an alloy of imperial gold and celestial bronze- further demonstrating her... Split nature. Its everyday form is a golden crucifix on a bronze chain. Godly Parent: Neptune Magical Power: Brooke is not what one would expect from a daughter of Neptune. Her water related abilities are limited to breathing underwater and swimming much faster than ordinary, her control over it is very slim to none. Her geokinesis, on the other hand... Neptune is known as the Earthshaker, and Brooke is fully his child. Causing the ground to rip open or shake, pushing boulders out of the way, or using blasts of dirt and gravel to attack are not beyond her, though higher level uses tire her more quickly. Appearance: (Not given) Personality: Brooke is completely unfazed in serious situations and brutal in her fighting style, fully ready and willing to kill her enemy if the situation calls for it, even if they're human. The same goes for her attitude- she's often brutally honest with little regard for feelings or tact. Bio: Why Ms. Finch left Camp Jupiter isn't known, but two things are certain- she doesn't miss it, and won't speak of it to anyone. She isn't technically a member of Camp Halfblood either, though she does wander through on her journeys around the nation, though no one but her knows her lineage. Godly Parent: Hephaestus Magical Power: Control fire Appearance: Long, curly black hair pulled back in a poytail at the nape of her neck, dark green eyes, lean, 5 foot 7 and a half Personality: Kind, clever, fierce, fiery tempered if you make her mad, good friend Bio: Lived with her mom in Manhattan, until she was ten when she accidentally set the coffe table on fire and has always blamed herself for it. Ran away to camp half blood and stayed untill she was 15 then went away for a while untill she stopped blaming herself. Just now returned. As such, his magic often presents itself in the form of debilitating and damaging curses, mystical runes used for "traps", and offensive magical energy. The last example of his magic is the one Seth uses the most, often manipulating to include various effects to ensure his targets end up affected by his attacks one way or another. He is also known for being able to solidify this arcane energy, creating sturdy structures resembling jagged crystals. Aside from using them as weapons, Seth can use these constructs to channel his magic elsewhere. Like all children of Hecate, Seth has greater success in manipulating the Mist to his will. Often times he uses it for instilling fear and vivid hallucinations in his targets, though it can be resisted depending on the target in question's strength of will. Weapon: Other than using his magic, Seth uses a sharp, crimson crystal sword formed from his magic energy. It may seem fragile, but it is actually just as resilient as his bulkiest crystalline constructs. Even if it does happen to break, the sword will simply reform itself over time like the other constructs. Personality: As you could expect, Seth's personality is much different from Morning's. He isn't one to outwardly display his happiness, at least not around others, and he can often be seen as cold and stern. He can also be irritable and arrogant, and shares a rivalry with the cabin leaders of the Big Three's cabins. Other: Twin brother of Morning Zorya, and cabin leader of Hecate's cabin. His leadership here is rarely questioned, because despite his sometimes tyrannical behavior he doesn't really try and abuse his position on random whims. Obviously though, this doesn't mean he's wholeheartedly loved, simply respected, if not feared to certain degrees. [/hider] [hider=Morning Zorya (Kaithas)] Name: Morning Zorya Age: 17 Weapon: A pair of celestial bronze gauntlets that have inch long, extendable spikes on the knuckles, collectively named the Healing Sting and built to channel her abilities. One is inscribed with a sun, the other the moon. Godly Parent: Hecate Magical Power: In sharp contrast to her twin brother, Morning's abilities are light magic. Where he destroys, she heals, where he attacks, she defends. Her most proficient spell besides basic magic and shields is a highly regulated blast of light blessed by the gods, light that heals human and godly wounds. Monsters, however, aren't so lucky. Very weak creatures will burst into flames and be sent to Tartarus, while stronger ones will only be burned. An extremely powerful monster would merely shrug it off. That isn't to say she doesn't get angry, but not quick enough. Bio: TBRPed. Notes: The twin sister of Seth Zorya. [/hider] Khione: [hider=Nevea (whizzball1)] Name: Nevea (Derived from the Italian for Snow, Neve) Age: 17 Godly Parent (Greek or Roman): Khione, goddess of snow and ice. Magical Power (If any): Nevea has the ability to control cold itself, lowering the temperature or even solidifying it. She can also freeze and coalesce water vapour to use as shards that she can send at opponents. However, this ability can tire her if used with too large of a scale. Weapon: She prefers to use whips of pure, solidified cold, formed using her power. She also occasionally uses a sword formed out of Stygian Ice. Its fragility is reversed and intactness sustained by her power passively flowing into the sword. Skills: She moves like a snake, with finesse and stealth. Her whips are like an extension of her body, and she uses them as such. Her movements flow into each other with quick, silent grace. She is very skilled in archery, also, and is very quick, since she can form the arrows as she uses them. Very. At first glance you might think she's a daughter of Aphrodite, but not at all. Second of all, she's controlling. Everything she does, she uses to move up in the metaphorical ranks. Despite her controlling nature, she's very sneaky about it. Unless you know her very well, you wouldn't be able to tell that she's only doing things for her best interest. She talks silkily, weaving tales and ideas through her words with cold finesse, to keep you from knowing that she's using you until she's thrown you away like a toy. There really isn't a need to say that she's mean. Nut: [hider=Aster (whizzball1)] Name: Aster (derived from Astro; named after his blue eyes) Age: 17 Godly Relation: Nut, goddess of the stars and night sky. Magical Abilities or Skills: Aster, being fascinated with the night sky from a young age, took to the study of the magic of stars. He can call upon the power of the stars, excelling in light and fire-based spells, but he can also use darkness itself, decaying life using shadow, and other darkness-related spells. Favoured Weapon(s): A hand telescope which extends into a staff, from which he summons many of his spells. He uses it for melee combat, also. Skills: Aster excels in hand-to-hand combat, and using his staff. He will use a sword if needed, and is more skilled than average at sword-fighting, but not to the extent of his skill with the staff. Personality: Aster is a slick, smug character. During the daytime, he's a fun guy, and great to be around. He's a bit of a player, but don't let that stop you from getting to know him. He's a great strategist, but not a control freak. He'll gladly listen to the ideas of others, and isn't usually snappy or mean about bad ideas. At night, he takes on a completely different personality. He retains his smugness, but becomes very serious. He won't be inclined toward making jokes or overall lightening the mood, preferring to leave that to others. He doesn't appreciate foolishness in serious situations during this time, however. He becomes more of a commanding character, but still won't go all out controlling. He puts moderation on everything he does during this time, preferring not to go over the top but to do what's needed, and no more. History (if applicable): To be determined. [/hider] Horus (reserved by Jangel13): Set: [hider=Alexander Castellar (Krein)] Name: Alexander Castellar Age: 18 Godly Relation: Set Magical Abilities or Skills: Alexander is able to channel the chaotic magic of Set to perform a variety of storm/desert spells. The storm magic portion of his magic is pretty self explanatory; he is able to conjure up thunderous clouds to darken the area, have a pseudo electrical barrier, or simply have different routes to fire his lightning bolts. Desert magic almost goes hand in hand with storm magic though, as Set's storms aren't necessarily lightning/rain storms but... desert storms obviously. Alexander can summon small yet fierce sandstorms to buffet his enemies, and with this magic he is easily capable of producing fires or intense heat waves. Combat magic is also an obvious area of magic Alexander is adept at, as Set was one of the chief defenders of Ra during his nightly travels through the Duat. He can conjure demons from the Duat too, though usually only one or two, perhaps three tops, as these guys are feisty and would gladly tear him apart were it not for Set's influence.
