Quickly retrieving his physical form, Joshua closed his Pocket and opened a portal in the ceiling above him, a massive circle that loomed over him and as many of the gunmen and hostage-takers as possible, stopping short of trapping the two League members or any of the hostages. Then he opened a portal the same size under their feet. Anyone trapped in the ceaseless fall, Joshua included, would soon reach terminal velocity, meaning that when he closed the floor portal, the landing would be fatal. It would require equal measures of luck and skill to ensure Joshua's survival, as he was positioned in the very center of the portals.
