Rosu took a moment to complete the entry form, adorning the small slip of paper with his name and squad number and placed it in the appropreate urn. After quickly nodding to Lieutenant Kita and moved to take his seat among the crowd and await his turn in the ring. Yorudan noticed several prominant members among the Gotei 13 including several Captains and even more Lieutenants, one Captain that Yoruadn kept his eye on was the current Kenpachi. The mountain of a man conversing with the Lieutenant of Squad 2 had always brought him some discomfort, mainly for his complete disregard for normal combat in lieu of the complete and utter destruction of anyone who stood in his way, but that was the nature of the Kenpachi. If Yorudan was going to be completely honest with himself, Taro Kaeda was another that concerned him. Yorudan was able to to read most that he came across and be able to guess their intent, but Taro was one soul that even to this day has not been able to figure. He supposed that perhaps he was not supposed to and thus is what gained Lieutenant Kaeda his position in Squad 1. Yorudan's musings were interrupted by the start of the tournament, and as such he turned his gaze to the arena. The first match up was the captain and lieutenant of Squad 7, an interesting choice to say the least. The match progressed in the fashion that most would expect as Captain Matsumata toyed with his lieutenant, countering each strike with the swift and deft blows. Yorudan was certain of the matches outcome, until Captain Matsumata paused. Yourdan watched the gears within mans mind churn and could only guess at what was actually rolling through his brain. It wasn't until the lieutenants leg sweep made contact did Rosu realize that the match was over, and Lieutenant Kita had arisen victorious. To say the least it was an unexpected ending to the first round of Hakudina Eleven.
