Regarding the revolution promised in the first post.. Would this be one singular revolution already taking place at the start of the RP, say by one species against another? Or would it be planned and executed by the players after building tension during the RP?

Conversely, would it just be one group angry, or would there be multiple rebelling factions similar to what can be seen in many modern-day rebellions (one group wants to topple the gov't for ___ reason; another does it for ___; a third wants ___ and all of them may or may not be hostile to one another as well)?
