I think Wild Force is well into the point where I stop recognizing them as Rangers and start recognizing them as Sentai. XD But yeah, if I remember right Wild Force was pretty much a direct adaptation of Gaoranger, so yeah, magic. Magic up the wazoo.

...And I just realised all three of my characters are magic based, even the one that's getting the flying train. Hmmm, that's weird. ^^;
